Was it hard to give us OG Fallen with the cool armor from Destiny 1 with some interesting House of Rain colors instead of just saying that the House of Dusk stole the colors from House of Rain but still look like Destiny 2 desperate Fallen with their Armors?

You know what they should have done? Port over the Devil's models Think about it: they fallowed saint from the cosmadrome, they're still alive after the whirlwind unlike Rain, we're probably gonna get a house of devil's DLC eventually anyway Instead of retconing the fallen just to make sense in a single story mission, just bite the bullet now and bring back house of devil's
-
But the house of rain colors being house of dusk makes sense. Dusk is purple and that goes well with rain since blue was taken by house of winter and dark blue was taken by house of wolves so purple makes sense.

They all look the same in the 0.1 second it takes to dust ‘em.

The house of dusk has always been just a “kitbash” fallen house. It actually would have not made since for them to make their own design.

Remember House of Rain made the prophecy of the Kell of Kell's. House rain was a old house like the Kell of Kings. Variks leads the house of Dusk-, standing as Kell of Kell's. Looks like to me he is honoring the prophecy by taking the colors, but not the name for the entire house died off. He was part of House Judgement, kind of like an advisory position. Now when an entire house dies, the name can not be taken again. I believe Variks is going to do some endgame because just the name of Dusk. But that's why I believe he took the colors.

Didn’t they got wiped out by a tornado in their homeworld?
-
Because you can’t expect all of that in a $10 content drop with everything else going on around you as well
-
Literally, if they just gave them a different colour I would have been fine. They don't look too different from the Fallen in D1 if i'm going to be honest, and Bungie has already shown they can re-colour the same model.
-
The development time for any project is determined by the things they can get done and the things they cannot. It is fine as an example or it might be a step into us seeing one thing, drawing a conclusion, and finding out otherwise. It's a good stabilization point too. Too much change brings about when changes occur, why was the lore updated this way, and others.

Yeah, I had the exact same thought.

MacGuffins.

House of Rain are in the game. Through the Corridors of Time Part 1
-
The entire reason the house of dusk was formed was to unite the fallen. Using a preexisting house to represent that is kinda dumb.
