Just wondering about this but, to me, it seems like both melees function the same:
A throwable melee attack. One is a hammer, the other a knife. Both are thrown away yet only Titan has to run back and pick up their object and Hunters don't.
Would it be fair to either make hunters have to go pick up their knife or have titans have their hammer returned automatically?
-
Why do you want to make everything the same and shitty
-
Only way that would work is if Hunters also get to pick it up when it is missed, which we can’t.
-
The hammer doesn’t have one shot capability.
-
If I miss with my knife, I have no knife. If you miss with your hammer, you can just pick it up. 🤷🏻♂️

Lol, now I'm picturing a titan carrying around a huge sack of hammers. Titan version of Santa
-
I wish we could. You are lucky.
-
Because titans can't have anything.
-
Because that hammer is continuously usable and has no cooldown as long as you pick it up.
-
Because Magic

I mean, gamblers dodge exists. And dodge replenishes quickly

It won't be retrievable because one is a sticky mine the other is a 1 hit head shot with instant refresh. I'm happy they got the 1 hit precision I think that plenty especially with the dodge instantly refreshing the melee amd you have ophidia spathe. Alot of resource management retrievable knives would make it broken.

Well bottom tree now has OHK knives, so no they shouldn't be able to be picked up. Throwing hammers are fine, being able to pick them back up it great. If you can't, it will be on a cooldown like everything else. Not to mention they slightly buffed the damage, they have crazy tracking, and fly straight as an arrow.

Hunters knives don't drop. Thats the tradeoff.
