For anybody who wants to improve at PvP, i made a practice checklist. WITH ILLUSTRATIONS
These are some crucible basics that i think everybody should know.
Nothing crazy, nothing insanely in depth and nothing class specific. Just the basics.
If you want to "Git Gud" this is where you start.
Go one step at a time, until each item on this list feels like second nature and you dont need to think about it. DO NOT advance in steps until you have mastered the prior steps, and they feel like second nature to you.

2 RepliesSomething that you should definitely add to this list is Crosshair Placements; The second nature of always aiming at head level. Always ADSing at minimal distance to your target to decrease time acquiring target. Honestly, just look up Th3Jez's video on "Destiny: A Sniper's Bible". This small series is extremely old- but literally applies to every weapon across any FPS you'll ever play. Anyone who is new to Destiny, and is looking to improve, watch this mini series immediately!

Thanks for this. I already can see this is useful. I'm always trying to improve and despite soloing NF last season I feel like I've hit another ceiling. My shot is also lacking. You have any exercises that you perform regularly to keep your aim crisp?

4 RepliesThere is also a top tier player on YouTube named Diaside who makes very specific how to videos. Just remember people, not everyone can and will get that good, but at least you can get better.

thanks for taking the time to do this. trying to get over my sub 1.0kd, and i see myself kill trading alot, so, the advice to pay more attention to positioning and to disengage more rapidly if you don't get the clear advantage early in the engagement is a good tip. i know it's something that should be considered, but sometimes in the heat of battle strategy goes out the window

Best advice: Play smart. Learn the "hot" spots of the maps. Improvise when their is a surge of deaths on a single spot. Never go the same route twice if you die multiple times by the same combatant. Be patient. Every weapon hurts, it just takes a different kind of approach to get the job done, so practice with the weapon of choice. It'd be nice if Destiny's PVP had dedicated servers tho..
