One of the best aspects of Crucible, or really any PvP game, is that feeling when you have out shot someone or out played them. I mean Look at Halo, CoD, or even (and I feel awful for even typing this) Fortnite. The best feeling is when you have out skilled someone someone in a gun fight. The current state of Crucible reduces this feeling severely and instead replaces it with one shot special weapons like Shotguns and Fusions that take little to no skill to use and can turn a losing situation into a matter of 'who can swap weapons faster'. Special weapons almost completely remove skill from the equation and make Crucible feel more like a slot machine than an actual PvP mode. Even in a game like CoD there is an aspect of knowing a map and being able to aim. These Special Weapons remove even these basics. You can run around a map not knowing where the -blam!- you are with a shotgun and you will still get kills.
On top of this players are rewarded for dying. If you die you get special. Why? At the very least dying should cost the player all special and they can only get more if they kill a player. While this does not solve the problem of players running around the entire game with special weapons it atleast punishes players for acting like idiots instead of slapping them on the wrist.

Continue Thoughts: Supers and all one shot abilities do something similar, but are not as readily available as something like Special Ammo and thus don't quite ruin the PvP experience as much as SW do. Dont get me wrong, I detest Handheld Supernova and Shoulder Charge as much as the next guy, but they do not get me nearly as angry as getting killed by Shotguns and Fusions for an entire game. Supers should just outright be removed from Crucible. They are literally just easy kill buttons that any player can use to 'do good' for fifteen seconds.
