Is this when you decided that PvE would be crazy easy/dumbed down?
I finally found an LFG group to do Niobe Labs. I know its a very polarizing experience but I loved. Its got so much focus on the memory aspect in addition to knowing when the room would split and how ect.
I feel like that was when everyone cried about the game being based around streamers but the concept was awesome and it was brought forward to things like the Last Wish raid. An evolving world that reacted when it had been completed by the first fireteam.
I honestly think its such a shame that Labs exploded like it did because it was such a fantastic addition to the game. Not to mention its one of those difficult PvE pieces that actually reward a unique and exclusive item thats not just an emblem (even though the perks on the ghost are poo poo).
I would love to see more exclusive loot be tied to difficult pieces of PvE content that is a great mixture between mechanics and combat difficulty. Not to mention, its like the cherry on a cake. The Black Armoury ghost was the last piece I needed to complete my full, badass set. Had great interchangable forge/raid armour pieces. The sparrow from the raid. The ship from the forges and finally the ghost from Labs. It was so well put together and it felt so acomplishing to finally complete that set.
Finally, an example of how this could have been replicated is making the 'Shifting forms' of whatever its called ship (the hive one) come from solo flawlessing the new dungeon. The Harpy shell could have come from completing all GoS raid challenges and so much more.
I love you goddammit but you dive me up the wall with how many obvious and easy things you could do to engage the community and make the right choices.
