It is high time you all talk about this. I don't care how many down votes it receives. I don't need another new gun or two new armor sets before this is addressed. Erentil is beyond best in class. It should be considered a linear fusion. The new artifact you are producing promotes sitting as far back as possible and aiming at the potential entrances to that area as a play style. Passive. Fine. The bolts of Erentil have hardly any spread. Unlike every other single fusion in the game, its single bolts aren't apparent until you are almost at a sniper distance. It is effective at Auto rifle ranges. With backup plan or firmly planted or projection fuse, it infringes upon plenty of other weapon types. I would reduce the strength of the individual bolts and increase the cone for spread. Or keep it as is and move it to a heavy as previously discussed for Telesto. This weapon does not leave the hands of its wielder and I can't blame them. With a shotgun, you take out a primary to deal with adversaries at range. Can someone at Bungie tell me when it is not effective to use this particular fusion rifle? There are ways to circumvent the charge time and it is rare to hit and not kill on contact. There's no exchange between foes. It is especially obnoxious when multiple people on the same team sit back huddled and use them as a method. It forces everyone to then play far away and passive. It's not a meta. It detracts from the competitive nature of excelling with guns whose reticles aren't the entire torso of their opponent.
