Bungie, you could have used the raid as a space for final assault with simpler mechanics.
Given that the stats for the player base as a whole engaging with and completing the raid are always a low percentage you could have easily used the Garden of Salvation raid space as a Menagerie type activity and have six match made guardians chase the undying mind through that space with a final fight at the end.
You could introduce players to the tether mechanic to open the doors, you could still have the cyclop run and the jumping sequences, but add some variety to it with enemies, and I'm sure you could come up with some simple mechanic fight for the baseball diamond section of the raid where 6 match made people could work as a team.
Then the portal that we built spawns in the tublar section where the angelics can come from at that particular boss fight to take us to the final boss fight area of the raid against the undying mind with simpler mechanics than the raid. Plus all three sections could have pinnacle drops.
Those drops could easily have been past favourites that could have included imago loop and the vex mythoclast.
That's what you could have done, but you just swapped the boss out, who's actually easier to kill than the original boss for vex offensive, just saying. Shows a lack of imagination, in my opinion.
