Hello yall,
Need some advice.
I haven't really played much Pokemon for a long time now--the last one I was able to play was Pearl/Diamond due to me focusing on buying other non-Nintendo consoles and devices.
Now that I have had a Switch, should I pick up the new Pokemon game? I've heard many things about it that are good and bad.
I'm also more familiar with the grindy Pokemon games, so I was wondering what your opinions are on this one and how different Pokemon is nowadays.

Edited by HellfireEclipse: 11/21/2019 5:45:41 AMIts not worth buying a switch for. The game basically is a safari zone. Sun and Moon is better. Lets go has better graphics. Swsh is not optimized and buggy. Its better to emulate it. Awful texture and character pop and rotations. Max raids never work online. Shield has better exclusives. Camp / Curry is more fun than the gyms. End game is a battle tower, Max Raids, and breeding. Characters are more like able, story is ass. You fight Hop more than 10 times, and more than gym leaders or Npcs. Animations vary from fluid to Uncanny shitpost. The starters and finals are fluid. Middle stages are lifeless. Menu Gui has improved. Only 437 pokemon coded, 37 are future events. 500+ Missing. Character customization is the best in the series. Pokemon XD and Colosseum are better RPGs Competitive is drastically improved. You can change stats, natures, moves, and have infinite rare candy for free. Only 3 legendaries. Possibly 2 mythicals for a movie.

I had a ton of fun with it. The wild area can keep you busy for hours.

It’s a bunch of fun from what I’ve seen, but for me it just doesn’t feel like a $60 game. It’s a little obvious that game freak rushed to make a Pokémon game just to make a quick buck. But, you can still have fun in it. I’ve heard the wild area is the best part because of how it works.

Yeah sure if you have a switch and enjoy the pokemon game loop then go for it. Its a fine game, might be worth looking for some discounts on Black Friday.

I had fun with it.

I've been debating myself if I should spend the 60 for Sword. I might wait a bit for a price drop.

Its a good game, and brings some good improvements. its much easier than diamond and pearl though. I never had to grind out any levels throughout the whole game.

Compared to the older games, this one is easier, depending on how you play. It’s still fun though. There’s a lot of things to do, at least before the endgame. I only just finished the third gym
