I am planning to write a small book about the EDZ but in Germany-Poland about the areas were the Humans thought that the aliens would strike most as a key location into both Europe and Asia. The book will be maybe 150-200 pages long and describe the war in the area during the collapse and then a bit about a few Guardians who woke up there during the reign of Crota. I am taking suggestions on plot as well as characters that anyone wants to add. You will have to give a personality and summery of your character of course. The main character is a German Soldier who got resurrected as a Defender Titan. This I plan to give out to the community and a gift to bungie if they want it for Destinys Birthday. Off course I don’t plan to make money off this just make something cool and different for people to enjoy. This is going to be a huge project not just a fanfic. I hope the community would love or help and come up with ideas for areas outside Russia in Poland and Germany for the book.

Okay, I’m happy to lend any help I can. How close will this story follow the lore of Destiny? If you are planning on this story being lore-accurate at all, then I can help make sure you don’t break canon. For example, you’ll need to know what aliens humanity faced during the Collapse, when the other aliens arrived, how long Crota was a known threat to humanity, and the specifics of the Hive presence on Earth. I can also help with some locations. I know several locations used in lore and can suggest others (by the way, don’t use Manhattan, it’s a Nuclear Zone). Or I could even assist in non-canon ideas. And, as a fellow writer, I’d be happy to read over any of your work and see if I can provide any feedback. I have two characters I’d like to offer to you: Seth Kay A human male, pretty old bit not too old, average height, blue eyes and short graying hair. I guess his occupation and situation will depend on how the story goes, but he could be a person during the Collapse or a Guardian later. If he’s a Guardian, he’ll be a Hunter Blade Dancer. Personality: He usually doesn’t speak unless spoken to and seems a tad gloomy, but can be talkative and get excited when you start a conversation with him, revealing his vast stores of nerdy knowledge. He’s very polite in little ways, like holding open doors, waiting for people to finish speaking before he speaks, lending people his coat if it’s cold. He can be a bit of a klutz at times. Avery-3 An Exo female, very short (seriously, she’s tiny), white “skin” and orange eye/mouth lights. If she plays a role as a Collapse character, then she would have some kind of military occupation (which was basically what all Exos did in the Golden Age). If she’s a Guardian, she’ll be a Warlock Sunsinger. Personality: a perfectionist, practical, smart/clever, disciplined, a born leader but not very good at sharing or explaining herself. She doesn’t have a good sense of humor, slow to laugh, occasionally will try making a joke but it usually isn’t good and even she hates it, mostly enjoys morbid humor. She usually treats people coldly or harshly, but is actually very protective and often scolds others for endangering themselves. She’s also very superstitious. (Note: Exos are actually very rare, so if there are too many Exos in the story, Avery can be a human character instead. In that case, her name would be Avery Benedict) Plot suggestions: Well, here’s what I immediately thought of from reading your post. Start at an important scientific/military installation in Germany/Poland. No need to say why it’s important. Your German soldier protagonist can be part of the security there. A small Exo team arrives, sent by Rasputin (this could introduce Avery-3) on a classified mission to recover some data from the instillation. In the midst of this the Collapse begins (the Collapse began without warning for almost all of Humanity, and it didn’t last long). So the aliens would attack. We’d keep this vague, as we only have very vague descriptions of the Collapse and one vague description of one of the beings that invaded Earth. In fact, I suggest the protagonist doesn’t see the aliens at all. In that case, we may need to find a creative way to kill him. The protagonist awakens as a Risen. You said it would be the Dark Ages, so I don’t know what he would do. Fight other Risen, the Fallen, maybe some regular humans. He could explore other areas of earth (perhaps he was lucky enough to find a jumpship in the ruins of the installation he died in?) So then you mentioned Guardians during the reign of Crota. This is literally hundreds of years later. The Dark Ages lasted centuries, then the City Age lasted more than 300 years. And the Great Disaster (when humanity first learned of Crota’s existence) was less than decades before present day. Crota’s Hive on the Earth were only a threat for a few months before Crota was killed (though the Hive had secretly been on Earth longer than that). These Guardians could go on any adventure, fighting Hive or Fallen or whatever. Good luck
