Just a few thoughts on the possibility of updates for various weapons that are already in game.
I understand that as new gear comes out old gear tends to get left behind, however, with the new update for old armor being made with new mod slots, it would be nice to have the same thing happen for old weapons.
While this is a topic that I have seen in the forums before, I have a few other thoughts about it that would be a nice touch for things in general, concerning weapon updates.
- if the weapons are not updated automatically, and players would have to acquire a new version of the weapon, it would be nice to be able to infuse the old weapon into the new weapon to transfer over the weapon kills (assuming that the two weapons are the same, obviously).
- if weapons are not fully updated, at least allow us to put mods on the old weapons
Pertaining to both points above, I have been using my Loquitor (360rpm auto rifle from faction rally) since I acquired it in season 3. Despite being on a near 2 year hiatus from destiny, I have accrued almost 60k kills on it. It is my pride and joy, despite not being able to put new mods on it and not being an updated weapon, it is still viable, but could use some TLC from an update.
Of course, there are other 360 rpm auto rifles that one could use, but those 60k kills...it would be nice to see that dedication not go to waste.
