The ships look cool and all, but don't really serve any purpose beyond that. Is there any chance we'll ever get to actually control our ships? Even just a mechanic for manually flying between destinations could be cool, but I would especially love to experience some aerial/space battles or dogfights. I know it would take a whole lot of work/time, but is there a chance it will happen?

I hope not. If manually flying the ship or dogfights are ever introduced then I hope they’re entirely optional and have no role in any of the triumph/reward systems.

Edited by GrifterDeMier01: 11/7/2019 12:28:05 AMI doubt destiny will ever have that feature. We still don't even have the sparrow racing back yet. No mans sky and warframe are your friends if that's what you are looking for. Then there are a few pc games that have massive ship battles and customization but they are pay to win type games.

Not unless they can sell it to us in Eververse.

Maybe in a new raid, to get to the start of the raid we need to fly our ships, I think that would be pretty cool and really not that much hassle for them to do
-
Probably not, but you will in warframe so maybe bungie will get inspired

This isn't Kingdom Hearts
-
I don't think so - it's doesn't quite fit with the feel of Destiny
-
Maybe in D3. But probably no. Bungie don't care.
-
nope.

I wish we could do more on our ships in general but everything that could possibly be done on said ships is easily managed through the destiny 2 app. 😕

Coding is hard

No they have Auto pilot plus ghost always hogs the drivers seat
-
It’d be neat, but we have bigger problems that need solving. Then maybe we can try to convince bungie that space battles would be a cool addition to the game.

I'd rather not
