We shouldn’t be charging $15 dollars for cosmetic armor sets. We’re not Fortnite.
On top of that, if you aren’t just money hungry, why is Eververse getting multiple frequent updates, while we haven’t had a vendor refresh for well over a year, almost two?!
Edit: Go ahead and lock this Bungie. I dare you. Then you’ll get the Blizzard treatment
-
You forgot about the fact that ONE EXOTIC EMOTE COSTS 10 DOLLARS.
-
Over a year later and nothing has improved. Bungie clearly doesn't listen to its fans or care what the player base thinks as long as we keep spending money. I remember a friend saying how great it was that Bungie was free from Activision and how now the game would get more content and less Eververse, boy was he wrong! At least with Activision we saw more content and some form of quality control. What Bungie did with Destiny Beyond Light should be a crime and I for one won't spend a single dime on Eververse until they add back in the content they removed and follow through on their other promises to improve and innovate with this title. Bungie is free from Activision, free to ruin a game many love and spent years in. Get your act together Bungie or lose my support. Your players deserve better!
-
Yeah, it's funny. I'm not the type of person to spend money on cosmetic stuff, but I would for this game... if it wasn't so expensive. I'd like to support Bungie but not at EA-level costs.
-
The armour is pretty awful looking why are we complaining about the cost?
-
I don't understand that eververse store. I bought forsaken last year and I bought shadowkeep this year and I'd like to spend more money but not at those prices. Eververse prices make it look like my money is worthless.
Edit: Go ahead and lock this Bungie. I dare you. Then you’ll get the Blizzard treatment
Bungie: “no. I don’t think I will”

Bungie did themselves no favors with the improvement of Eververse above all else these past couple years. The idea was to improve Eververse without being so blatant. Eververse wasn't part of Destiny from the outset and it should've been. No one would be complaining now if it was. Parting ways with Activision gave Bungie no choice but to make Eververse front and center, which is fine. But they stripped away what it was (very friendly) and increased its impact on the game, effecting the culture among players with its sudden hard push. It's too jolting. For new players, it's totally fine. But for older players, it's upsetting and understandably so. The underlining MO of Bungie is inconsistency with nearly everything and it has only deteriorated the player base. Destiny may arguably be the "best" its ever been now (I personally don't think so by a long shot. D1 was better) but the player base is the lowest its ever been and continues to plummet. They've decided MTX is the way forward since making content is too costly with not enough return. Additionally, they've added FOMO tactics, not to mention, seasonal content wipes and resets over previous ones to artificially increase engagement. I've stopped playing Destiny because it's simply empty grind towards nothing. Eververse hasn't made the game better. Its just prolonged the death of D2. Bungie is squeezing every last cent while minimally "improving" the game for as long as possible. It's a win win for them. But you can only rearrange chairs on the Titanic for so long. Enjoy the year of rinse and repeat grind while holding your breath for D3, which remains a rumor.

Destiny 2 the game that claims to be free to play but then charges you $35USD for a DLC, Then has an annual pass/battle pass like a free to play game as well as over priced microtransactions. Shouldn't be charging people for these DLCs if the game is free to play Bungie. The "free to play" players are technically just playing a DEMO at this point.

Has anyone noticed how bungie defenders have run out of excuses for bungie and just resorting to the argument “wah wah wah cry baby”
-
It was never Activision that was the problem. It was always Bungle and their greed. Minimal boring, thrown together content for max money (like it was worth the money for a new game) only to get the most amount of money. Content is quickly thrown together and revolves around boring triumphs so bungle can charge us for medals, pins, shirts and jackets that are overpriced and take forever to arrive. The content is boring af to play over and over to get get 100's of kills with stupid guns. Eververse is just the icing on the cake at $15 for an armour set or 6,000 bright dust when you can only earn 200 or so a week. What a joke. These idiots are farming our guardians and our wallets. Why do you think everyone is leaving. The game is shit.

You get banned for posting constructive criticism, or for just calling out bungie's crap. No doubt the fanboys hide and report anything they dont like in the slightest. They say this forum is toxic... no. It has real people that actually play the game and want it to improve. They speak their mind, unlike the fairy twats on reddit.

There has been a lot of posts recently about eververse and Bungie being greedy. This has made me realise how many people actually pay for cosmetics. It’s surprisingly high, at least it seems that way. If people stopped purchasing items from eververse then things would need to change. The way I look at my money is I pretend it’s a game, every time I pay out for something I lose. It’s even worse if I have nothing to show in real life after the purchase.
-
My last dlc anyway. Not putting anymore money into this money grabbing company 🤷♂️
-
not only is eververse a problem but so is the constant cheating I see from people in crucible pretty soon this game is gonna die if all this keeps up

Edited by name: 11/4/2019 12:34:58 PMbethesda saddens me much more, because from them i actually expected better

Just don’t buy anything for eververse. At least it isn’t pay 2 win
On top of that, if you aren’t just money hungry, why is Eververse getting multiple frequent updates, while we haven’t had a vendor refresh for well over a year, almost two?!
https://stevivor.com/features/interviews/destiny-2-vendor-refresh-unlikely-as-bungie-looks-forward/ This is Bungie's excuse, but the truth is, they have their manpower on another game that has nothing to do with destiny. That is why the vendors haven't been properly updated in 2 years among many other things.

Get a job bum.
Edit: Go ahead and lock this Bungie. I dare you. Then you’ll get the Blizzard treatment
This seems rather.... self righteous...
-
Just don’t buy anything from eververse, easy!
-
Until datto says something about it nothing will happen .
-
I dont think k its greed. They need development help and really dont know how to manage a game this big without a major publisher throwing money and resources at them. Which is why we get content lite and reskins and just then adding shielded or enemies requiring a certain mod to damage them and calling it new end game content. It's the laziest stretch of a definition of the word. But here we are still preordering. Anyway. This is what we have to deal with possibly for the rest of the life of the franchise.
-
cry me a -blam!-ing river. Like you wouldnt make money if you could. So sick of people like you crying on the internet.
-
You do realize the entire set for eververse this season like every other season will be sold for bright dust during the season. So your post is quite irrelevant.
-
Kind of an unfair comparison, Blizzard got slammed for freedom of speech issues, Bungie are just selling some cosmetic items
-
Until people stop making purchases on Eververse, it will NEVER change. Would you stop playing a slot machine if it kept spitting out money for you? I agree with your post 10000%. But that's just their logic.
