I started playing the game, ever since New Light came out (owned it before but didn't get into it), and I absolutely love it. The amount and quality of content that players get for free is mind boggling, and truly unprecedented. There is one area, which I feel can be improved, and that is player freedom in style. The game constantly throws new, better armors (and weapons) at the player as rewards for playing, which is great, but it leaves little room for making your character look the way you want (sure, you could use upgrade modules, but those are scarce/expensive, and it's better to use them for good rolls). So my suggestion goes like this: Let players wear any piece of armor they want, as a stat-less universal ornament, (in a similar manner to Terraria's "vanity slots") including multiple exotics. That way, players can keep raising their power levels, while at the same time look the way we want. Exotics are arguably the best looking pieces of gear, and not being able to wear multiple of them at once is a bummer. Such feature would also be motivate players to hunt for more exotics, as they will be able to display multiple of them at the same time (I know I would be). Possible caveats, and solutions: PvP: I understand that such a feature might interfere with PvP fairness, as players wouldn't be able to tell what their opponents are wearing, etc. Possible solutions to this could be to either make a separate loadout for PvP, or just disable this feature in PvP altogether. I don't see why this should be a problem for PvE though, as players could Inspect other players to see what they are wearing. Eververse: One might say that such feature wouldn't be one Bungie's interests, as it would hurt the already existing universal ornament market, bought with real money on Eververse. I think that it shouldn't be a problem, since Eververse offers prestigious ornaments that are impossible to get through gameplay. Please let me know your thoughts on this, and thank you for reading!
