I can't be the only one.
The game has been out 18 days and there's so many people who are upset drops at 950+ are coming in at 1+.
Let me say that again....18 days.
This is the first time we've been able to go past a light level "cap" and y'all are loosing it because it's taking to long...
Actually?
*EDIT*
I completely understand what everyone has been saying. It is a little much but having been playing since week two of destiny 1...it's whatever. It's really not bothering me and I'm sure it won't once I hit the grind everyone is dealing with. That has been this game since day 1. Get geared run everything, new dlc and all your work was pointless (but was it really?) Did you not have any fun along the way?
I enjoy the gameplay, I enjoy the flow of it, the guns, everything is top notch. I'm much more focused on having fun this time around rather than doing everything on reset, switching characters and doing it again until done.
Even IB this time around. Using different guns for the bounties got me out of the same setup I always use and guess what? I had more fun than I've had in awhile.
I'm not going to hit 980 before the next season
And I'm okay with that

garden of salvation KWTD must have 960 gear + 40 artifact light level will be checking must have divinity must have raid emblem must have 20 clears
-
And? It’s not like the system is gonna change by the 5th week or the 9th week. Still gonna be trash by the end of the season if Bungie doesn’t change it. Making feedback known starts that process. You gonna hold off on complaining about getting half a paycheck a month down the line until when you actually get it, even if you knew ahead of time?
-
I mean.... I don't mind drops are only +1 butttttt when all you need is a helmet to drop to progress to the next level and you've opened 9 "pinnacle" bounties for everything but a helmet it's like ehhhhh this is kind of an arse system.
-
They're just artificially keeping people playing so that as you play you might buy something from eververse. I think it's backfiring. It's made the game incredibly boring. I'd rather they had made an awesome campaign where once I finished it I loved it so much I'd definitely buy the next one. Instead, I hated this half ass boss-less grindfest so much I would never recommend it to anyone.
-
I feel you. I’m barely 930 bc I have a 60 hour a week full time job, so it’s hard for me to play a lot. I get a couple of hours after work and then maybe a half a weekend day. It feels like the grind to max level is slower than previous seasons; at least to me. It feels like there’s less sources of powerfuls.
-
Funny thing is people who play non stop are gonna be around 970 while everyone else catching up is around 950-963. I wonder if people will start lfgs saying be 970 in a 950 activity
-
It’s shit. Got my moneys worth. But feeling this may be my last season.
-
Doesn't matter how far into the dlc we are. +1 for pinnacle gear is absolute bullshit.
-
This game is just so much slower than it once was. I don't know what possessed them to take an already slow game and make it slower
-
I can't say I miss D2, chasing a imaginary number that doesnt add to your fun or the feeling of being powerful. All bungie keeps doing is resetting the real numbers to zero. I don't care wtf the screen shows
-
Edited by Bore: 10/21/2019 1:53:42 AMIt’s understandable. Almost seems like you won’t hit 960 by the end of the season.
-
Imagine being this hung up on an arbitrary number. The only numbers I chase are gear stat ones. A piece with 20+ mobility AND 20+ strength is always a fun find for my titan build.
-
Imagine trying to -blam!- for Bungie by telling people to enjoy the same thing 10 more times. This system of leveling doesn't work, get over it. Weapons and armor should be firing modes, fire rates, perks, set bonuses. Not numbers that somehow make me stronger or weaker than other items of the same name. Not enough RPG loot or RPG in general, loot is based on bad RNG mechanics and a preposterous time loop that demands far too much time for far too little content. It's fundamentally broken, why are we pretending it's good?
-
It's not that. It's impossible to hit 960 base gear even if you got the exact item you needed every pinnacle reward you received on 3 characters. It's dumb
-
People are complaining because by the time you even get close to getting 960 the new season will have rolled around and with it the power level will be increased, meaning that massive grind was a massive waste of time.
-
It's on YouTube. You only get past 950 by pinnacle weapon drops and all weapons must be 950 to get a 951 drop. Then you have to have all 951 to get a 952 drop etc. I think getting to 950 will be fine for me. 😕
-
I think that everything that dropped with the new season should have at least 1 bounty/weekly bounty that drops a +1 piece of gear. It would keep people playing the new content till the new season. So things like: Ikora's Weekly (Collecting Chasis - or a weekly bounty) 1 drop a week from the Vex Offensive 'End Boss (Not all chests)' Why not have it so you can get a +1 from Eris' Weapon forge Harder tier Nightmare Hunts etc. With RNG, there is still no guarantee you will get to 951 week 1 - and even it does, and you can go up 1 rank a week, that is a 10 week (pretty much all season) grind right there. And anything else that they want to keep relevant - at the moment, i can see a lot of players that are at 950 (and over) not concerning themselves with much other content that do not reward +1 over 950 gear; which is a shame. I can understand that they want people to engage with the new content over old; but if that is the case, then any activities that dropped with the new season should drop the higher tier gear. The only 'new' content that gives +1 is the raid.

Edited by Equinoxe_4: 10/20/2019 10:49:35 AMI don't mind if it takes long. The problem is RNG. I'm missing a Titan Mark for 951. I keep getting weapons, mostly energy. The loop is: - alright, here comes the pinnacle drop - oh, ffs - alright, here comes the pinnacle drop - wtf, not again ... Also: every "powerful engram (tier 1 - 3)" and "prime engrams" becomes useless beyond 950. Even the stats of those drops are mostly sub 55.
-
There is nothing new lol. Old locations and bosses. Same ib gear abs system Same gear everywhere and system. Nerf nerf nerf nerf. Just bad
-
Two arms and one primary dropped at 951 from iron banner bounties, there's no way this is going to be mathematically possible. This is not an enjoyable feeling. /S Good job Bungie, you are truly in touch with your community.
-
It's been 18 days and I'm already falling off in interest. Nothing to do or go for worthwhile currently. I understand the people complaining about the power climb though. It's unnecessary. The grind should be for loot not a meaningless number activity gate.
-
All I’ve got from pinnacle drops is duplicates getting to 960 is a waste of time.
-
the entire system seems like it was not very well thought out. make a loot game with no loot. give powerful bounties that give no power. make armor pieces that are supposed to make you look cool make you look like the village idiot.
-
Gee I dunno, maybe it’s because people all over Reddit have done the moath and proven that with the +1 system it’s virtually impossible to reach 960 gear level by the end of the season? Even almost PERFECT RNG drops that never duplicate?
-
Edited by Kouz_MC: 10/20/2019 5:44:00 AMYou should actually amend to it “18 days for casuals” Your point is 10 days old for the fans. Edit; you may not know that Bungie has been trying to secure new investments in the private sector. They know that they can fool only if they manage to show very promising stats again. Their whole strategy for shadowkeep wasn’t to regain players, but to give some investors the impression that they’re gaining momentum, when in fact they are already in downtrend again. This is disaster/panic management in business terms.

It sucks. 15/20 951 energy weps. Removing the heart from your most dedicated players. Trust me.
