It's because nowadays teams have to juggle like 4 things to even get to a damage phase, and even then they still have to juggle shit to prevent it from ending early.
Raid fights should NOT be "do X, Y, Z". That's what they are. Fights. Not puzzles that now more often than not have some form of artificial difficulty (like the timer in the Shuro Chi fight and the cyclopses in the Sanctified Mind fight).
There's a very clear turning point in Destiny's history where the raids have been geared more towards streamers and massive sweats.
Now, obviously raids are supposed to be hard by default. But what happened to raid bosses that were hard because they hit hard, not because your team forgot to do Y in X, Y, Z?
