Bungie knows we would like for all the equips to be skins.
Bungie knows that we are not happy with the eververse situation.
Yet, instead of putting the "event set" as reward from the same-as-past-year activity, which also happens to be a reskin, they want us to buy it from the store.
They actually turned a good opportunity of redemption
• old gear as skin (check)
• activity reward (check)
• something new to chase (check)
which would have been the right answer to 3 community complaints at the same time, into more eververse, more complaints and so more unhappy playerbase. Good job.

Complain when you know something about the event. You don't know anything about it.
-
Don't trust datamines folks.
-
We know very little about it...

Idk whats going on but I just want Festival of the Lost to be awesome. I hope they have some good stuff. Otherwise it'll be a big disappointment for me.
-
Well given that we don't know what content they're bringing in FoTL... I don't think we can say if it's a missed opportunity or not

To be honest I think they should make nightmares spawn aggressively in all pve activities during the festival. Doing some random story mission for the flashpoint? Bam what happens when the mini boss at the end is flanked by 2 nightmare ogres. A fun Halloween event. Turn normal boring activities into chances to run into powerful enemies that drop gear of some kind worth having. If they don’t want to make new weapons reuse old ones. It’s supposed to be a tribute to the past kind of thing anyway.

What is this even about? They've only announced the Festival of the Lost dates, not any content or rewards, as far as I've heard.
-
What are you talking about? As of early October 17th we know NOTHING about Festival of the Lost and it's event-exclusive armor. I don't mean to repeat myself but... what are you talking about?

Yeah, the greed and laziness is beyond belief at this point
