Not that bothered about raids, would be a different story with optional matchmaking though.
Like I said, not that bothered, will move on to another game when I get to that point in the game.

You are showing yourself to be completely clueless with the matchmaking bullshit. It's pretty common to get terrible/toxic/troll/afk people just in strikes/crucible/gambit. Matchmade raids would be a faceplant failure 98% of the time. It would only turn off people to raiding and dilute the number of people trying to find fireteams with a REAL chance of success.

You know nothing of my experience in other games, I have had all the excuses, discussions, debates and reasons about optional matchmaking in raids and the one thing you idiots don’t understand is it’s OPTIONAL. You my friend are the clueless one.

It's just a waste of time and effort. and it would benefit almost no one. Do you even raid? You can get a team of coordinated people who have good loadouts/light levels and it can STILL go badly. It would be a complete shitshow with randoms. You're living a cute little fantasy world.
