I agree it's outrageous, even compared to other games who do it better, like Titanfall 2. I have some extra cash sometimes I would love to spend on a game I enjoy, but I can't. I want to go to the shop, browse ships or ornaments or whatever, pick the one I like and pay that price to get it. This RNG nonsense is ridiculous to put against loyal gamers who already have to deal with the same rehashed content we're paying for just so we can progress our characters and the game. By the way, this game isn't free. D2 classic is essentially a trial at this point. If you want to actually do anything, or play with other people, you have to buy the expansions. The argument about cosmetic items being worthless is also nonsense. In any game you want to look good and have nice things, especially when you play a lot and earn them. If virtual items aren't important, you have no problem if the prices come way down, or are sold as individual items. I feel like this is something they were shackled into by a greedy, no-care for consumers company, but when they freed themselves it didn't change. Spend the price of the base game on the last two add-ons and you now have access to those items! If you get lucky from the shop. What do they give us? Same areas we've gotten sick of in D1, same weapons from D1, the SP mission is also the new strike because screw you, you'll buy it! Same enemies all the time, which was my gripe with D2 (honestly don't know what I expected, but more enemies was top of the list. I couldn't wait to see the terrible new threat to the universe and finally, FINALLY fight a different type of enemy. Nope! It's Cabal. Screw you!) Okay that last paragraph was off-topic but cosmetic items always irritate me when people try and say they're worthless. They're not. Especially in a game like LoL that's free to play, you should support the company, especially if you play it non-stop. People who outright refuse to buy them should stop playing then (not talking about D2, which is a paid game, but the freebies). The argument remains however that you like a weapon and you want it to look nice, so you should be able to buy the cosmetic to change. You shouldn't have to lootbox this stuff and when you do pay it shouldn't be too high for what you're getting. Even the ships! It's not like YOU can fly the ship! It's just a loading screen! Don't treat your customers, who are still willing to play with everything you've done to the game, like it's a contest to see how much you can milk from them as if it's a joke.
