No thanks, you are literally deleting replayabilty in one fell swoop. Why get a good arc, solar and void handcannon from different activities when you could just stick with one the entire time and change it whenever you want? Please, we don't need to make things simple just for the sake of it, play the game and you can get what you want.

  • It’s an extra layer of RNG. Bungie loves that. If you have a hard on for Nation of Beasts, acquiring that exact hand cannon with the right roll and element three separate times is gonna be an absolute chore. Say you want one of each element with Outlaw Rampage? That’s 4x4x3= a 1/48 chance you get an Outlaw Rampage Nation with Solar damage. And that’s being nice, since the Raid Weapons have 4 perk choices per column. Make it 6 per like something like Menagerie and we’re looking at 6x6x3= a 1/108 chance to get the two perks and one element you want. Gotta do that three times too. 1/108 three times over. Or just settle for the old Arc Nation of Beasts, Outlaw Rampage, a 1/16 chance. Mines a beaut. Yet I’ve had to wait an entire year since random rolls came out to finally get a Solar Hand Cannon that’s not a 180 RPM. Ancient Gospel, about damn time, but if I could have had a chance to get one sooner from random element rolls? I wish. Then as far as rerolling them at Banshee goes? You still have to get three of the same like you’re saying, so you gotta get three Nation of Beasts with Outlaw and Rampage, that 1/16 chance. Three times over. I think you’d be surprised by the complexity.

  • I got the masterwork nation of beasts in my first run. If your numbers are entirely correct, I don't even know how that happened

  • Curated rolls work differently. It’s a set percent chance to receive an Outlaw Dragonfly Nation of Beasts from Morgeth. Curated rolls could easily be set to a specific element, so if you ever got the Curated version it would always be Arc damage, for example.

  • So now YOU want to add limits? Why is it not okay for Bungie to add restrictions but it is okay for you to? Do you not see how that's ironic. Most people always cry that "Bungie is limiting how we want to play, why is there elemental affinity on armor, why are guns locked to elements". But then when people bring up very valid arguments as to why they are that way, they backpedal and go "oh well we can just do X and Y to stop people from doing Z"... like... what? What happened to the freedom you wanted? What happens when someone else on this thread doesn't like your idea and wants it to be hot-swapable whenever they want (like d2 vanilla)? Who's right? Maybe just play the game how its intended because there was clearly a reason for it being that way in the first place. It adds replayability, it gives various activities reason to exist and it helps create PvE balance which is neccessary.

    Apparently I must have because I thought of limiting the extent of where you could change elements in an attempt to be respectful to the "issue" of changing elements on the fly despite having been on the "armor affinity is a shitty restriction" train
