The prices are high, I agree. However my biggest problem is the rotating inventory crap. They love RNG so much that they would rather me not buy something than to simply list everything in the store.
ME:
Hi there. I have money. I want to give you more money. Put stuff in your store so I can buy it.
BUNGIE:
How can we RNG this even more?

But I have tons of cash I want to spend with you. Can you list everything in the store?

They want you to have a FOMO freakout and throw money at the screen.

If you see everything, you may not buy something else that isn't as good but came out first. Ex: Week 1 you see something decent...you buy it Week 2 you see something great that you gotta have...so you also buy that. If week 1 you saw both items, you'd probably only buy the great item and save your money
