Don’t think you can get season of undying if you don’t have shadowkeep. This season comes with the dlc. If you have one, then you’ll have the other. Also, if you don’t want to play all the new content then what’s the point of even playing?

  • You can purchase the season pass separately (1000 silver). The Dreambane armor is Shadowkeep dlc armor, however Season of the Undying has its own armour set, The Substitutional Alloy set. The Triumph clearly states "Seasonal Armor" that means the Season of undying armor.

  • This is correct and so I have to concede that the OP has a valid point. I would be very interested in hearing word from a Bungie representative about this. Seems a bit dishonest to me (and I own Shadowkeep so I'm not biased either).

  • You can absolutely get the season without Shadowkeep. And the point in playing is that I still have Warmind to play, and the season is time limited while Shadowkeep is not. So while people like me and my small group of friends haven't played even Forsaken or Warmind yet, we'd still like to play the time limited event and get the things from that since everything else will still be there later. Besides, that's not even the point. The point is that why should the seasonal title be linked to a set of armor that is wholly unrelated to the seasonal event?

  • because titles are endgame accomplishments meant to display a certain level of completion within a game mode or season. And if you still havent played warmind or forsaken then you havent even scratched the surface of endgame content. you are not entitled to getting the seals just because you bought a dlc or season pass

  • This does not answer the question that was asked. The question is why the season of Undying seal (called Undying) requires a set of expansion DLC (Shadowkeep Dreambane set) to unlock the seasonal seal, rather than requiring a set of the Season armor set (substitutional Alloy) to unlock the seasonal seal. It's feeling like people are throwing out all kinds of unrelated explanations that in no way address this core question that the OP is trying to understand. Time limits and completion of relevant content have nothing to do with why an unrelated (and therefore irrelevant content) armor set is required for the undying seal. OP...the likely true answer for why, to answer ur question, is that it is probably a tactic to coerce sales from those who paid for the season but not the expansion in order to increase profits. There really is no other way to explain it. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck...it's probably a duck. 🦆

  • And here I thought "endgame" was doing raids and such. The bar really has fallen if strolling through the story missions is what passes for endgame. Is the Wayfarer title endgame too? That involves even less and is available to people who haven't paid a cent if I'm not mistaken.

  • thats my point, you cant get seals by strolling though story missions. even wayfarer requires grinding nightfalls, ep, resonate stems, prophecy weapons, all of which was paid endgame content at the time the activities and seal were released. does that endgame content hold up well 6 seasons and 2 major sandbox changes later? not really. but it sucked at the time of release too, so if you want wayfarer, free content or not, you are gonna have to grind for it.

  • Then explain to the OP why even tho he HAS paid for the season he is unable to acquire the season title no matter how much work he does...I'm all for seals being behind paid content...but if u pay for the content you should b able to get them, not have to pay for separate content in order to get them. That would be like needing to do Manageroe to get Rovensbane...they are separate content packages. Or having to complete Crown of Sorrows to receive Rovensbane...or having to complete Crucible and Gambit in order to achieve the Vanguard title. I fully understand OPs frustration and have not yet seen anyone provide a rational explanation for his query. It's very likely it is the result of marketing tactics to coerce expansion sales from those who only purchased season passes by blocking them from one triumph to gate them out of their seasonal title.

  • This is weeks old and it's already been pointed out I misinterpreted op's post. But It's probably part of the same bug that won't let you infuse the vex offensive gear into season pass gear. There's something weird going on in the coding for that armor set.

  • So tell me, what endgame am I missing for getting the Undying title if Lunar Fashion, the original root issue, is requiring strolling through the wholly unrelated Shadowkeep to get a set of armor? What endgame am I supposed to do? Nobody in this topic is complaining that there's work to be done. The problem at hand is that the work to be done for a seasonal title is seemingly linked to unrelated content.
