Welcome to the Free 2 Play world. Players in World of Tanks habitually pay $60, or more, for a pixel tank and War Thunder Market players are paying what equals the down payment on a car, $1800, for a pixel tank.
I am by no means justifying it, as I think it is absurd, but the white knights and those with more money than brains will throw money.
