I say go for it. People are going to use their crutch guns no matter what the burns are anyway; they run recluse 24/7 then complain about no diversity lol.
I think it would be fun to be able to change elements again, it was a neat addition in y1.
People abuse whatever the rules are anyway, but the rest of us enjoy as many options as possible.

I made my mis fit my go to for barrier rounds currently.
