It effects gameplay by removing rewards from the actual game.
Or by diverting attention away from making content for the actual game.
Hence why we only have one new exotic armour per class.

The rewards are not part of the games loot pool. They are premium items. Every MMO does this. You aren't entitled to additional content for free. Sorry dude.

What has happened, though, is that now, unlike Destiny 1, bungie is making less and less in game items and more eververse items. I have no problem with bungie selling these items or even buying them myself. My problem is that we no longer get new tower vendor items every season like we did throughout Destiny 1.

I paid £30 for an expansion. That is lacking big time for new loot.

Lol, no it’s not, moon gear, vex offensive gear, dungeon gear coming, raid gear, ib gear from 2moro, the moon itself, vex offensive itself, the raid itself, the ritual weapons, new pvp playlists, new comp set up, new nightfall activity, new champions feature, artifact feature, season ranks, armor 2.0, sandbox changes, crutch well reload gone, new exotic quests, nightmare hunts. Nah, nothing new and seriously lacking in content huh? 🤦♂️

Yes. Lacking in loot and I agree but injecting these ever verse items into the loot pool wouldn't change that because they are mostly cosmetic. We need new weapons and armor sets with new perks/stat spreads.

I feel like if they loot pool in the game is good then fine . But when more effort goes into eververse than the expansion I feel that's solid grounds to start asking questions . I cant get over there only being one new exotic per class. Considering not alot of the DLC was made new anyway.

Well, the ever verse stuff has to slightly look better because otherwise no one would want to buy it. Bugatti's look good for a reason.
