And then why can we earn cosmetics by grinding e.g. season progress xp? It's part of the game. People want to look good while they play. Nothing wrong with that. But it has to be affordable. Also because a lot of youngsters play it. Teenagers without a job, who still go to school, and so on. And ok: we can't allways get what we want, we can't have it all: but prices are too high lately. Period.

It says everything. Nobody beat a raid faster because they had the crispiest emotes. You don't get extra heavy in crucible because you have the latest eververse gear. There's no hidden mission that's unlocked by buying ornaments.

That is: if they have time to look, cause they're too busy raiding stuff, defending and shooting. But why is it that you don't understand that other people like the cosmetics and want them? Question: do you use any cosmetics yourself? You can't tell me you don't own and/or use any. It's just fun to have. And it doesn't make you any better, true, but it's fun. I mean: you're talking to a guy who played 100 hrs to unlock the For Wei ornament. And the Clash of swords emo. And the other ornaments, including the universal ones, and the never live it down plane. Not just because i wanted to reach that last level: but cause i wanted those cosmetics. For free. And it was fun. Much more then when i had to buy those for 8 Euro's or something. So i play different then you, i don't raid that much cause my mic broke and stuff and i rather play solo PVE: but for me getting those cosmetics was part of the game. That's all i tried to say.

I applaud you for having unlocked those, that's impressive! I'll get there eventually, but with a newborn I'm going to have to really take my time. I'd like to clear the air - it's not that I don't understand why people want cosmetics. I want them all! They do make the game better in their own special, fun way. I'm primarily a solo player much like yourself and usually only play with my brother. It's a difficult line to draw, this eververse business. I empathize with both sides: Bungie needing money and players wanting their usual dose of fresh seasonal emotes. I stand somewhere in the middle. I would love if they would lower the prices in their store. 12$ for any one cosmetic item is just too much for any game. Cut that in half and I believe a lot of their problems would disappear overnight.

Plus you can buy them seperate from each other: you don't have to buy strange curency first and so on. The real dollar price is on it, and you click it and you pay. 4.99 is a good price. (Not for the ghost projections, in Destiny, but ok.)

If you read the OP it wasn't complaining about eververse, it was the high cost stopping them from buying, and only asked for a reduction of a couple of dollars.

So, I apologize for not going through a whole thread to see every comment you made You are also not defending Destiny. It was not under attack by the OP. Asking for a price reduction is not an attack. Nor is saying they could actually make more money is one. Yes others are attacking Destiny, but the OP actually said he was loving the changes, except the eververse prices.

Obviously it does, which is why I felt the need to comment. What I meant by "something that doesn't matter" is that you can play every aspect of this game without ever going to eververse. It's a discusssion and if everybody was thinking the same way there weren't any discussions at all. That would be boring. But anyway: i'll keep saying that for other people it matters. And I'm tried of people defending Bungie for obvious shady stuff they keep pulling. Still, cosmetic stuff may not matter to you. But it clearly matters to OP therefore this is platform to raise that concern. However, it's Bungie advertising the game as action mmorpg, right? Giving zero refreshes to vendors, while eververse is going crazy is insult to the player who stuck with destiny for the last 5 years, while devs think that this is an RPG in any level.
