I don't think I'll ever do a D2 raid for a number of reasons. Radar's too small/in a weird area of the screen. First person PoV doesn't lend itself well to mechanically intensive environments(a big reason why I use swords so much.) Only 6 players, meaning a lot of responsibility on everyone rather than delegating individual tasks to groups as in other "true" mmo's. Being in a stressful environment is a recipe for endless anxiety, and guilt if you make a mistake. Really it's just too high-fidelity and stressful to be worth it aside from the very rare chance I play with only people I know during it. Not gonna do anything that's gonna leave me feeling bad in something as petty as a video game, so it's not worth the risk, imo.

  • Bungie heavily crutch the awkwardness of mechanics being required in first person POV in order to fake difficulty. Having to equip a sword to get into third person but then sacrificing your heavy weapon is absurd. They have such a fantastic third person too which is sad we can't utilize it without having to equip a sword or emoting.

  • 1 All the raids are easy 2. Even in a 12 player raid (ESO) everyone still has a task to do 3. Radar is to small? You have eyes and audio so that's a load of bs. 4. Don't expect everyone else to carry for weight for the raid

  • I dunno about being easy. Watching videos on a few of them, and they seem harder than any raid I've done in WoW - and those can be a real PITA. 12 player raids are still much smaller than what I'm used to. 20 people, delegated into groups of a specific task depending on class and role. In WoW, I play a melee DPS, meaning I am concerned with melee and general DPS mechanics - everything else I ignore. Healers stick with healer and ranged mechanics, and tanks stick with tank and some melee mechanics. In Destiny 2, there is no such role division, meaning everyone needs to multitask across all mechanics. The screen too often gets cluttered with blinding explosions and early-2000's action film levels of camera shake. In addition to this, being an FPS environment, FoV is limited Never expected to carry/get carried. More of a matter of screwing up, inevitably upsetting someone. You never know who's gonna blow a gasket the moment something goes wrong. Something I'd rather not deal with.

  • They only blow a gasket if people keep messing up tell them that you are new at the raid they will understand most people aren't like these people on the bungie app

  • Exhibit A of why I don't raid - people like this with no reason to be a jerk, but do it anyways and think nothing of it.

  • Yes! Someone else with radar issues. It sucks that it is so small and its location is fixed (upper left corner ==> lazy programmer).
