For now sure, once the next season comes out thats the one people will get with Shadowkeep so why not let people get the title with the gear that drops only in season of the undying?

Yeah, the title will be gone from the triumphs page as well so it doesnt matter. Just like how mmxix was gone after the age of triumph. I dont get what your point is. You physically cant own just the season of the undying. Anyone who's able to get that title has to own shadowkeep because they are one in the same.

I mean, ignoring the part about "physically" owning any of it, you absolutely can have the season pass for the season of undying without having Shadowkeep. I should know, that's exactly the position I'm in. I'm not yet interested in Shadowkeep as I haven't even done Forsaken, but I wanted to take part in the season as that's time limited while Forsaken and Shadowkeep are not. So I have the season pass, but nothing else. Regardless, even if Shadowkeep was a prerequisite to having the season pass, Lunar Fashion stating that you need to use the "seasonal armor" but not accepting the armor that comes from the season pass is wrong.

No they aren't. Seasons can be purchased independently of Shadowkeep. Furthermore there is no reason to buy previous Season Passes as that content is removed at the end of that season.
