Hello to anyone who sees this, recently one of my friends that was playing d2 on ps4 enabled crosssave on his ps4 and steam account because he wanted to move on pc. He succesfully did that and went to play on pc but something weird happened, he got instantly banned from his account and cant play anymore. he told me something about a responce he got that he was using cheats but he really wasnt, he was playing d2 for such a long time without doing anything bad to the game or its community. The thing is that he got banned for no real reason, can anyone help? (im not saying his name because i can't remember if it violates the terms of the forum).

D2 does a pretty extensive check for cheating/hacking programs in the background. From what I understand even having them installed on the PC will result in a ban, even if they weren't running.

Edited by Jvp WReNCh: 10/14/2019 2:14:00 PMIt's not against the forum rules to just say a name, but naming & shaming is prohibited. I don't play on PC, but I know you can get banned on D2 for running overlays & cheat systems in the background.

Well sorry for him but he knows what he did, they check and double check!

It does violate and dropping his name wouldn’t probably help, he may have been running with some shady pc player or even had the wrong program going on in the background of the game - doesn’t take too much As they are generally permanent bans, I assume he no longer is able to log into his PS4 either?
