$12 EMOTE???? $8 for ONE weapon skin. Eververse items are to expensive!

Im loving all the changes they have made to the game...Except the prices in the eververse they are just to high. $12 bucks for ONE emote and weapon skins at $8 for ONE weapon skin is ridiculous. Just lower them a few dollars so it feels like a good deal and not a rip-off.

  • Been saying this, they said the switch was to bright dust but I am honestly getting less than I did before and the store is still on 5 day rotation plus you get way way less engrams. I feel like Activision is still producing this game.

Have the cash shop fine, sell items there ok no problem, even charge how much you want great... But atm we have dlc's, season passes, the cash shop and loot boxes with a bit FOMO on top of that. This a bit to much no? Give me the option to buy all the cash shop items released up to this point (minus the holliday and event items). Have the weekly items rotation only for items you can buy with dust. You know how much $$$ I would spend in your f***ing shop if you gave me option to buy all cosmetics from past 2 years? With this system you are only giving me time to think if I really like the new items. And when they will come up in the rotation to buy for silver there is a chance I will pass on them. And chill with the geed a bit. Have 6-8 exotic sparrows in the shop but that one vex sparrow should have been a f***ing raid drop for the players.

      • You're assuming that normal well adjusted people are purchasing these and not the normal, 12 year Olds screeching at their mothers to buy them these super duper important skins and epic maymay dances cause it looks like fortnite. That's who these things are for. Not for anyone who actually just plays the game.

      • It is too expensive. I have not spent money on eververse since y1 which was about £10. Only today for first time in in about 2 years i bought some silver to get the hunter empyrean set. Wouldn’t bother buying anything else.

      • Yeah. Exotic stuff should be no more than $5. Any legendary ornament should be no more than $3, and the rest should be $1. I get they have to make money, but anywhere near $10 for a single emote is bonkers.

          • Reminds me of Fallout 76 prices but, for me i'm never going to spend cash for vanity if it cost almost half the price of the SK DLC for a whole set of armor ornaments. I'd rather collect bright dust and wait for those ornamants to roll on through. I agree, but I agree that things like these in games dont need to cost this much. Lower the prices and ppl will be more willing to buy your cash grabs.

          • Agree. I was going to buy some ornaments the other day. Then I looked at what they were doing. 12$ or 6$. That means i have to at least buy 10$ or 20$ worth of silver but can only use half of it. If I want to use the other half I would have to spend another 5$. That's crazy. I dont see myself spending any money on eververs. Ever.

          • Emotes should be like 3 dollars max. Skins should be 50 cents to a dollar.

            • Im not going to argue with this. Skins need to be in the ball park of $5 and emotes maybe $7. Would be willing to support the game more if prices drop to a reasonable amount.

            • Meanwhile I'm in the boat of "you don't have to buy it, it's just cosmetics", Bungie would probably make a better sale if the weapon skins were $4 and emotes were $5~7 depending on how animated they are.

But what if you had enough money to do so? Would you complain then? Also: you don't HAVE to buy everything what's available. But I do agree with the too high prices thing. And you know what? If they make it a bit cheaper: more people will buy something. So for the money they earn on it, it wouldn't matter much. Also: the in-game Bright Dust earnings are a joke these days. You better complain about that, including what things cost now if you want to buy it with earned bright dust. like 3200 bright dus for a emote. That means you'll have to buy some extra and can't earn it in- game. Cause when you try: the weeks allready over before you succeed and the emote is gone from store. So basicly they offer you something you can't buy with earned BD and force you to buy some extra. (That is: when you buy something every week and when you spend all your BD every week.) Before Shadowkeep i could buy about 3 bigger things @ eververse with BD a week. (Playing 6-7 hrs a day.) Now i can only buy one bigger and 1 smaller item. Thanks to removing the bright engrams from gameplay, and removing getting BD when you dismantle Eververse stuff. They say Bright Dust can be earned in- game. We can, but not enough. It's a joke now. (For example: you only get 100 BD when you reach level 96 @ the season progress bar) Looks like Activision/Blizzard wasn't that bad at all, when it comes to that. But i'm not complaining: the game is still ok.

                  • To those that say others are justifying Bungie’s tactics are just wrong. First off Bungie didn’t invent microtransactions they’re in almost every game now and to a certain point have a rightful place. Microtransaction practices today have become a major issue and comes off as “scummy”. But do understand these developers are a business. That said I feel like in comparison to other games, Bungie’s microtransactions are more fairly priced and you are far more capable in destiny of being able to acquire those items with the in game currency (bright dust) than others. I think Bungie’s biggest issue lies in how they price “dlc” content. People see that price tag and automatically think that should be it. People have a tendency to wait til the last second to pay for something knowing that items been on the way a year ahead of time. Take a look at shadowkeep deluxe edition, it’s $60 for that and the annual pass, that’s the equivalent of $5 per month, you pay less than a dollar a day to play destiny. I know this post was long but my point was that in the gaming industry today Bungie is less on the scummy side of the microtransaction controversy. I think this would also market better as a subscription rather than lump sum dlc.

                  • i don't understand why ppl here are upset, the emote and the weapon skin do absolutely nothing for your game/skills, it's purely cosmetic. I could understand if the weapon skin gave some kind of advantage to you but... it doesn't. Basically you're here because in your opinion you can't afford it and the problem isn't Bungie, it's You. It's like, walking by a jewelry store and out of the corner of your eye you catch how EXPENCIVE a Rolex is... YOU want it but You KNOW you shouldn't... because it tells time exactly the same as a …$ watch and you kick yourself in the nuds because, damn it WHY Why can't I afford it and you storm into the store and start raising the roof how they need to lower the price... sound familiar ? I know, I know what you're thinking... You're thinking how this isn't real life and this is just a game but let me stop you right there... that's exactly it, to Bungie this is real life. Oh ya, oh ya... well they should just focus on other things than... aa a aaa, the people that work on things like emotes and skins are there to do just that, for you to suggest that they should go do something they have no experience in is, well... uneducated.
