Bungie designed the raids in D2 in a way so all 6 guardians needs to be alive till the end or it's a wipe. They eliminated all hereo/clutch moments, which is really sad. In D1, 2-3 guardians could save the day in a boss fight at times, made for some great experienses.
So in that sense I don't blame people for wanting experienced fireteam. As it stands now, one guardian not doing his/hers job is enough to ruin a raid run.

Almost there. The issue is that 5 other people dictate weather you can win. The skill on your part is irrelevant 5/6ths of the time. Which is bad game design.
-
Especially in this raid everyone HAS to do their part
-
Yeah it's soooo bad if a raid requires nearly the whole team to do mechanics correctly lol Play strikes if you don't like that ^^
-
You are missing the whole point there bud. Back in D1, there were clutch moments, someone made a good play turning the fight around. That sort of things rarely, if at all, happens in D2 raids. The real problem is the revive timer/tokens.
-
Who says you can't do that now? If 6 revives are not enough for you and you can't revive somebody within 2:30 min you don't deserve to complete the encounter - easy as that
-
Hahahahahahaha. People are funny good call out.

Punishing players for others not knowing Simon says BS that the game NOT ONCE tells you what to do? In a game full of dead environments that have little to 0 interactive components? Now I gotta go find things we never use in the game world, things that don't make sense in the game world or lore, AND teach whoever can't learn because it's MY fault someone else can't do it. Yeah. Excellent game design. Makes sense why nobody bothers with raids. They suck. You don't have a skill set, you aren't "magically" good at the game. You just beat your head against a bad game and think you have a talent. The normal people saw the BS and left. Simon says is bad, gamey, game design. It never works long term, ever. Just goes to show how clueless Destiny players are.

Edited by Dani3009: 10/14/2019 6:56:10 PMLets look at the New Raid: A few seconds in you just die Then you realize that a white beam goes red and you die Then somebody picks it up and you survive You have boxes which teather when you shoot at them When you jump around you see a box at the door - you teather other players and open the box - it opens the door Raids ARE ABOUT MECHANICS, UNDERSTANDING them and PERFORMING them If you have bad players in a team you can't finish raids easily - correct You win as a team - you lose as a team It's such a shit game because you can't carry people braindead through everything Play strikes or dungeons if you want to do that

Yeah, think this is the main reason I gave up raids in this game. In D1 they were so much more fun because you had those hero moments and could clutch a boss without your full team there. These raids just don't appeal to me anymore, and that's the only real difference I can think of.
