the fps in GoS is really bad in general, but the last encounter is the worst thing I have ever seen in this game. maybe let the vex parts disappear after few sec or somethings.
-
This is why we shouldnt have the game on console at all
-
It's kind of funny though that the boss can't hit the broad side of a barn at 30 FPS but as the frames start to crash he starts to slowly dial his aim in until he's a sniper.
-
Honestly when has bungie ever fixed anything in raids unless it was an exploit. Wouldnt expect too much if i were you.
-
its expected Destiny 2 just got better...im sorry but console players we are heading too another Taken king scenario...Bungie will probably NOT make the next expansion with PS4/Xbox One in mind and will have console players move up to the next Generation consoles being worked on PS5/Xbox Scarlett

I have felt this as well however my primary complaint comes from the horrendous tether mechanics but that’s just me
-
I have the original Xbox one with Kinect. I’m serious when I say my frames go below 10 for certain parts of the fight. Usually when a wave of ads spawn under the boss.
-
I've never run into frame rate drops when doing the final encounter, what are you guys doing when the frame rates start to drop?

Edited by WP ScorpionWind: 10/15/2019 6:47:11 AMRunning a OG Xbox One that was part of the first batch of releases, so you know I'm at the bottom of barrel when it comes to specs. I personally have found FPS to drop slightly (5-15FPS) for a single time during the second part with the portals and the Minotaures, during the last wave of ads before the center opens up. But after 5 seconds max it stops and I haven't encounter it anywhere else. If you have an SSD external hard drive you can move the game to that and it should help. Otherwise you're just going to have to deal unless they do something about it.

If you need more then 2 phases to dps the boss, midas well wipe because the fps gets sooo bad. Nothing despawns, the floors going in and out, the motes, the supers.. By the way who thought motes would be a good thing.. The pick up on those is horrible and they go threw the walls and fall off the cliff. Needs some real work on xbox. To run smoother. Then again xbox scarlet is out next year.

Edited by Skandxr: 10/15/2019 8:32:33 AMWhat do you expect on almost 6 year old hardware?

Dont play on console kappa

Im a somewhat elitist when it comes to pc vs console but I have to feel bad for people with consoles with this one. The fact that they don’t even have the decency to playtest the performance of their encounters before shipping them to half of the playerbase is just sad.
-
It's awful when u use recluse an get a kill your suppose to have feeding frenzy active but it feels like you have 0 reload speed cause the frame rate drop gets so serve, but it's not the only boss that has this issue if the encounters go to long the frame rate will drop in every encounter an in some case's even cause the team to wipe.
-
These are the facts
-
It actually dropped so bad today half the raid got contacting servers lol
-
Weird, im usually around 150fps during this encounter

Framerate drops have never bothered me. Ever. I play Earth Defense Force, it drops to 5 fps all the time lol. Of course I'm old and come from a time when we just adapted to stuff. Not a knock on you, more of an indictment on me.

I don't have access to their devkit or any troubleshooting software for console (big sad) but I'm assuming the issues are coming from a few things 1. Dead Vex parts stay for way too long and since most of them will be in one single area (if your add clear is good) then it's probably wailing on the physics engine and subsequently, hammering your GPU/CPU way more and neither can keep up. 2. It's a bug and will simply be fixed later 3. The console hardware genuinely just can't handle anything in that encounter.
-
Yeah it drops frames down to like 5 sometimes. Needs looking at.
-
It's so bad on the moon when vex invade.

Close your eyes and everything will ok
