Hi there fellow guardians,
as we all know, we had to migrate over to steam because of bungie and I've already read multiple forum posts in which a variety of problems with the transfer are displayed.
Mine is an addition to the list so to speak. Before explaining, I also want to agree with a lot of fellow guardians that the bungie player support is lacking and not really helpful to talk to... but that can change and I hope bungie overthinks their strategies regarding this.
My problem is the following. I've transfered the account over to steam and everything seemed to work fine. This website (bungie.net) told me that the transfer was succesful and that I would now be able to play Destiny 2 on steam. I then downloaded the game on steam and was also able to start it properly. And now comes the problem. I can't connect to the server and I can't even get to the character selection. It's showing me the "error code squirrel", which indicates the servers not being online or me not being signed in with my platform account, whatever that's supposed to mean.
Now I'm pretty confused because the servers are definitely not undergoing maintenance and I thought that the transer was succesful. This hasn't changed for a lot of days, so I figured I needed some help.
Is there anyone else who encountered the same problem?
I'd be glad to have a discussion or help from anybody, including bungie of course.
Cheers guardians
