What's the best loot drop you've ever had in Destiny?
(Can be in D1 or D2)
Mine just happened yesterday while patrolling the Moon.
I killed a Nightmare Ogre point-blank with a grenade launcher (blowing myself up in the process) and he dropped an exotic.
It was Monte Carlo. I almost died of laughter.
So I guess if you want an exotic, just perform a ritual sacrifice.

1 ReplyIn D2, getting a snapshot supremacy from last wish and the curated twilight oath from the dreaming city. Neither are very special but 140 snipers were the sniping meta all last year and those two were best in their respective slots. Problem was it took forever for them to drop. I got the curated twilight oath after 11 months of doing the dreaming city milestones almost every single week on all my characters and I got the snapshot supremacy after 30 last wish clears so you can imagine getting them was a big deal for me.

Mythoclast on my first hard mode atheon run, while my friend who was in the raid with me had ran it 20 times already and hadn’t gotten it yet 😂 Also, not me, but my brother, with me and that same friend taking my brother through his first normal clear 3 months after the launch of d2. Atheon goes down and we hear my brother say “ what the heck is a gjallarhorn?”, neither my friend or I had it yet and my brother had ten total hours of play time in the game at that point 😂😂

None of them...its so easy to get everything in this game. Bungie has catered to the whiners and have increase drop rates of everything so that people dont have to grind for anything. There is no reason why I should have every exotic currently available in the game after playing for just over a year. No reason that inside 30 SOTP clears I have four Anarchy drops or inside 15 Last Wish clears three 1k drops...or after 39 seconds of playing shadowkeep I and my other two fireteam members have monte carlo. None of the drops mean anything anymore.

2 RepliesI was the only warlock in a hard VoG run, so it was up to me to push Atheon off the map. I got mythoclast, the raid helmet, & the sparrow all at once.

Not sure if this is the greatest in my destiny history, but definatly one of the most memorable. I got the curated nation of the beasts handcannon and TWO 1K Voices from my first and only run of last wish. Probably the luckiest drops I've ever gotten in the past 5 years. I feel like the game was making up for the pain VOG put me through trying to get fatebringer for the first half of D1 Y1 (probably around 30 VOG completions with absolutely no fatebringer in sight)

Mine has to be doing last wish, probably my 4th or 5th time opening 3 chests I git 1K voices. I mediately took off my headset out of fear of what my fire team would say to me! Then I left as happy as could be 😊

Are you -blam!-ing kidding me My best loot drop was probably either a rampage outlaw bygones with high cal and arrowhead Brake, or any number of the god roll weapons I have.

D1 should be Gjallarhorn because obviously, but honestly it was probably Hard Light, since I wanted it so bad. D2 pre-Shadowkeep was a god roll Chattering Bone from my first LW attempt, also one I wanted for a long time. Now I’m chasing that raid auto rifle. All of the new raid weapons look sick AF but that AR is the sickest of them all.

Setting: Archon Priest in the Vanguard Strikes Mission: Get enough Strange Coins to buy Icebreaker from Xur Timer: 6 hours till Xur left Synopsis: I had been grinding all day long for Strange Coins in Strikes and I was only a few away, but the Timer on Xur was rapidly diminishing. Another Archon Priest mission had loaded up and when he went down he decided to leave behind an Icebreaker! I was totally freaking out! I will never forget that afternoon!

Fate bringer because it took me a lot of efforts to get it. We were 2 best friends doing vog just to get it. We got it to drop at the same time. A lot of joy and manly tears !

Mythoclast first time hard VOG , didn't realise we were doing the hard one until we finished the last stage ( I was brought in to replace someone on the last stage). One week before it got nerfed.

Chaos dogma Legendary from Wrath of the Machine. The triple tap and triple double perks just made it the best gun.

1 ReplyGally was the most memorable. After that would be Mythoclast and Fatebringer. Sadly there has been no memorable loot drops in D2 that really made my day. This D2 team just can't compete what was done in D1.
