What's the best loot drop you've ever had in Destiny?
(Can be in D1 or D2)
Mine just happened yesterday while patrolling the Moon.
I killed a Nightmare Ogre point-blank with a grenade launcher (blowing myself up in the process) and he dropped an exotic.
It was Monte Carlo. I almost died of laughter.
So I guess if you want an exotic, just perform a ritual sacrifice.

D1, first run on VoG hard and received mythoclast pre nerfs. It was glorious in FFA crucible.

First exotic (I think,i know it was my first RNG exotic) after a crucible match. I was 5th on the leaderboard, it was Suros back in D1 before TDB. It became my staple gun, I had 5 of them by the time TTK came out 4 of which were random drops.

1 ReplyI would have to say my first vault of glass run was my best loot experience in destiny. Got fatebringer and vex mythoclast both on my first run. I miss those days. I miss my friends. :(

Definitely my Gally. It was around when Dark Below just came out and this was when I first started playing. It was like 3 AM and me and my friend were doing the Nightfall. I got a legendary heavy engram and was like “bRO whAt iF I GEt a GjALLarHorN?” and we just laughed. (We were in seventh grade at the time, so we had to be super quiet since our parents were sleeping) so we go back to the Tower and I do that ritual where you teabag in front of Rahool. I open the engram and literally get a Gally and I start freaking the hell out. Honestly one of my favorite memories

Last month of season 7, I got 1k voices, tarrabah, anarchy, every pinnacle weapon minus not forgotten and every exotic minus khepris sting (which I got week 1 of season 8 while punching a thrall)

One Thousand Voices from the chest room at the end of Last Wish. It was a gun I never thought I would get, but really wanted. I got it on my 5th clear with some friends. I don't see myself swapping it out anytime soon, either. BZZZZZZZT *BLAM!*

Funny thing, I only have my One Thousand Voices because I was invited by a friend to cheese Riven a while back and most of the group hadn't gotten it yet. I waited until last and walked over to a random chest and wha-bam. A little while later, I joined that same friend and the mostly same group with another friend of ours. Guess what? The other friend got it and nobody else did. It's now become an in-joke that if you want a raid exotic, just get invited by the first friend. It's certainly something.

Mine was the two exotic engrams I unlocked in the season pass. My luck must be at an all time high because I got two of the same exotics I’ve had since the RED WAR in Y1. I was so stoked! Went right out and bought some lottery tickets. On my way to Vegas now. Gotta make the most of Lady Luck while she’s on my side. Thanks Bungie!

It would've either been that one gun in D1 or that other gun in D2. I've used both of them heavily so I can't really pick one over the other. The best loot I've ever [i][b]seen [/b][/i]drop would have to be "two Tokens and a Blue".

Wasn’t mine but it was still because of me. Was doing solo Crota clears one day and a buddy joins the party, I agree to let him in the raid while I do my thing under the condition that he doesn’t interfere with my route. Get to Crota and I hear him eating Chinese food while he’s watching me kill Crota, and right as I defeat him I notice he got Gjallarhorn to drop for him, which coincidentally was his first ever Ghorn drop. Mouthful of food I hear him scream “MMMM WAIT! GYAHORN! GYAHORN!” Was one of the best moments I had in Destiny to date.

After I singlehandedly finished off Atheon with a melee after my team had wiped I was lucky enough to get my first gjallarhorn. What a time it was.

When plan C dropped after a crucible match as my first exotic, then I finally got an exotic bounty a few days later and got bad juju. And when I got the fate bringer to drop. D2 I was super excited when I got Luna’s howl in s4, my god roll sole survivor and my snapshot long goodbye.
