What's the best loot drop you've ever had in Destiny?
(Can be in D1 or D2)
Mine just happened yesterday while patrolling the Moon.
I killed a Nightmare Ogre point-blank with a grenade launcher (blowing myself up in the process) and he dropped an exotic.
It was Monte Carlo. I almost died of laughter.
So I guess if you want an exotic, just perform a ritual sacrifice.

When Season of the Drifter came out, I got 13 exotic drops within the first 2 weeks.

Hawkmoon when I bought TTK. I loved it even more than ghorn or even vex.... But I got those two in the end of destiny.

Siloed a Nightfall in D1 and got Gjallarhorn

I got Gjallarhorn as a random drop during the first Iron Banner. I was level 23. Using LFG was super easy during Y1, I just had to mention I had Gjallarhorn.

The best drop I ever had in destiny had to be forsaken. I don’t know why but my luck was insanely ridiculous. I had about 40ish exotics drop in the first month. But the best drop ever had to be during an ascendant challenge. It was ascendant challenge where you killed the taken blights while running away from the knights until you could kill the crystals. I got an exotic drop from 1 of the knights, an exotic from 1 of the thrall in the area, none from the chest and then a double exotic drop from turning in the bounty.

A friend of mine invited me to do my 1st hard mode VOG. I had G-Horn and was 29 so it was all good. I join the team and they're on Atheon. Even better right? So the team wipes so we can start and i die INSTANTLY. While i sit there so mad at myself the fire team manhandles Atheon and complete the raid. Vex Mythoclast drops and i get booted to orbit. I'll never forget that. Easiest exotic drop ever.

Well in this expansion it definitely was Monte Carlo on the second day of expansion and then I had 10 exotic engrams drop last week

However I hopped onto Division 2 after a long break and grinded a good loadout in about 10 days then got carried through a raid and got the Eagle Bearer at the end. THAT WAS A HUGE RELIEF after years of grinding my ass off for everything in Destiny, sometimes going up to 6 months before getting something. Division 2 felt sorry for me lol. Destiny is still my favorite game by far though. They are just really stingy with loot.

One master worked the other shield disrupted and firefly.

3 gallys in 1 day about 3-4 weeks after d1 came out. 1 from crucible, 1 from vog maze chest, and 1 from atheon. Pissed off quite a few in my clan that day. Pretty sure I got fatebringer that run too.

I vividly remember playing a Gunslinger Hunter, and that the map was Rusted Lands. The match ended, and I was at Zone B, and then the best rocket launcher in the game dropped for me. God I miss the past. Edit: minor typo.
