The biggest issue with running something like a Monte Carlo isn't that they are terrible in PvE, its the fact you cannot run disrupter rounds, stagger rounds, and anti-barrier rounds. I can' t use the weapon in end game activities that have these champions. Please, at the very least give every exotic primary a ammo type of rounds or give us the ability to equip mods to them.

I both agree and disagree. Having a mod slot on exotics could make them broken af. But exotics are useless in most endgame pve now... Maybe let them have a mod slot but it can only slot artifact mods. That way it avoids exotics getting mods that make them broken but it also let's it be used in endgame pve again.

It would be fine if this season they updated all the exotic HC's autos smg's and bows to have one of the mods permamently like eriana's vow.

I think all exotic weapons should get a mod slot. Backup Mag on Whisper? Counterbalance Stock on Hardlight? Icarus Grip on the Chaperone? Yes please.

The main issue is taking it into Crucible. Granted, Crucible shouldn't even be effected by the Ammo mods this season, should just be a PvE perk like Finisher Mods. But for PvE, I agree, it's a bit lame that I can't use primary Exotics for content because I need ammo mods.

I get why OP's stance is the way it is, and it makes sense that way, but you're hardly ever alone when it comes to dealing with Champions. Take the Scarlet Keep Ordeal Nightfall as an example. Running the Hero difficulty tier, there were only two times I needed to stagger an Unstoppable enemy and it was at the very end. I might have missed one but still it wasn't a constant necessity. It's a group activity. It's alright to have certain tasks fall to certain people. That's what gives value to team-play and coordination. Don't worry about not having Disruption on your Fusion Rifle, so long as you coordinate with your allies it's fine. Not everyone needs to be able to disrupt the Champions all at once.

I agree, artifact mods should have the ability to be put on exotics. As of right now only a heavy exotic is viable in endgame activities.

I already has this idea of those mods being passive abilities because exotics can't be equppied with those mods.

Exotics should have a mod slot that comes from the artifact. If keeps exotics from being used in PVE events.

It wouldn’t be nearly as bad if at least some special weapons could also get these perks. It’s all primaries. The only special weapon you can equip for these situations is Erina’s vow, and it’s only for anti barrier.
