I wish the raid community was like in Destiny 1. I can't stand these raid posts, " KWTD have mountaintop and recluse, have every exotic, run this subclass, do a finisher on everything, have every single weapon in the game, use them all at once, wear every armor set at the same time and have all stats 100 on each piece" I just want to do raids ! LoL

Remember when you didn’t need to watch research videos or have others spend hours teaching you something in a video game and you could just try it out by yourself instead? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I think part of the problem, some have said similar things, is these streamers keep saying, ohhh this raid was just to easy. So they keep uping the mechanics instead of just making something cool that has an actual good story line to it. These streamers may very well be nice people, but its not my fault as a paying consumer these folks can not get a real job like the rest of us where we can not play every single day for hours a day and they run out of things to do or difficult things to do. I get it Bungie, its free advertising, but if you made something the other 90-95% could do, made good story lines, focused on content and figure out how to make more content faster, you wouldn't need the free advertising. this is what makes this community now so very toxic, everything is speed run this speed run that, lets put a timer on everything so we have to rush through in order to get pinnacle gear. What happened to just make a good game add some difficult elements here and there, its just way out of hand.

D1 players were chill but d2 players are on crack cocian
-
the raids are so mechanic heavy nobody wants to go through the trouble of teaching people how to do them anymore because of how much time its going to take to get use to running through those same mechanics flawlessly.

Edited by Remi: 10/14/2019 3:16:59 PMI cleared the raid with all 3 characters with randoms from the fire team finder.. I’ve cleared all of the previous raids multiple times with randoms as well. KWTD means you know the basics. Make your own group if you can’t get in any. Just make sure your light level is 940 and that you have mods and an assortment of PVE weapons. The first 3 encounters are super easy and the last encounter is medium difficulty. You can’t expect people to carry/Sherpa you during week 1. **You can clear the entire raid with two sniper rifles and a SMG. All of the weapon requirements are from people that don't know what they are doing. I'm surprised I'm not seeing complaints about the Legendary Nightfall. It's harder than the raid and requires a more precise weapon loadout.

Bungie themselves called there own community toxic.
-
Addiction: everyone is helpful if you are helping them get their fix. Slow them down and you’ll see the junkie in them. Seen many “friends” turn on each other and clans fall apart over this. Most of us receive a lot of stimulation from the reward system in this game and the adrenaline competition provides. Hence the toxicity. All my opinion of course and many exceptions to the rule I am sure.

Clan group I remember when the leviathan was hard

Me and a bunch of a crazy British bois faffing our way through vog for the first time. Best 4 hours of my life.
-
Have a bump for the subject alone - did make me laugh after day 1 of the raid where only the elite had probably complete yet kwtd posts were already out lol
-
People asking for others to just look it up on the internet don't care about the raw experience of solving and overcoming something in a video game and it's quite sad.
-
Maybe you are just lazy? Ive seen loads of will teach / fresh new runs... Destinys app The100 +other sites

Edited by Fate: 10/14/2019 12:07:52 PMI don’t do raids anymore because of this plus I’m not into the raid mechanics Wish they would make a raid that was full of puzzles and shooting instead maybe even a few riddles Instead of annoying mechanics that take forever to perfect Plus finding a group these days is extremely difficult
-
Why should people have to use their time to teach you when you can watch a vid so you KWTD
-
Do you blame them? The people who wants help don't even listen to the sherpa. Many times the sherpa tell them to do something or change something, the person who wants to be carried does the opposite or try to make a excuse why they don't need to. It pretty annoying sometimes.
-
I completely agree that people shouldn’t be asking for emblems or stuff like that, but as far as knowing what to do is that really that hard for you? Does YouTube not exist?
-
I spent.. And I'm not kidding days on the last boss with all 3 of my characters. I'm not joking, this morning around 3 am I hopped into a group. Amazing people and we were doing well. Almost took him down twice in 3 hours, but the fps killed us. Xbox one. We also had a guy who admits he was sabotaging us apparently the whole time. On top of fps, so we all just said -blam!- it and left. He could have just been upset who knows. He said he had the Divinity checkpoint and was our leader. So idk if we have it now. Or if leaving scrubbed the puzzles

If u want to do a raid, make your own post u entitled zoomer
-
Luckily this raid has some of the simplest mechanics so far in D2, I would try it if I were you. Last night my friends and I taught two of our friends who only play pvp and I don’t even think we ever wiped.
-
Its easier to raid with a clan. Theres plenty of clans that are pretty chill raiding.
-
rose colored glasses there. D1 was elite too, that's why we can't see people's medals and extra stats anymore. stale complaint about the KWTD posts. if you don't KWTD that post doesn't apply to you keep scrolling, make your own post, join an active clan. plenty of better options than these woe is me posts.
-
I can see where the point of view comes from and to a certain extent I agree as I've struggled to get into the raids in the past. However, more often than not, I think the easy solution is to create your own post/ team and be honest on the screen as to what you want in terms of team members. I still believe this community has some awesome people willing to help/ sherpa. For example, I was randomly playing when I was invited to play SoP. I had never played it and so I was basically listening and learning. I made one mistake and the team were cool...one wipe back in and did a clean run. It was a great run and one where I dropped the raid sparrow, masterworked shotgun and Anarchy....there was team members who ran the raid over 20 times and never dropped Anarchy but they never complained, just congratulations. Thats what destiny is about. I didn't KWTD...i just played to the best of my ability, listening and learning.
-
This is why I advocate for Matchmaking for Raids. That way a group of randos can come together and do the raid. Many won’t mind going in blind but it’s our right to do it.
-
The problem is.....this they way the raids are now is easier to create. It doesn’t take as much thought and time. And that’s the simple truth of it. Was the old way more preferable to many many many more people? Yes,yes it was. But Bungie has made it clear they aren’t going back..... Does this appeal to the elites? Yes it does. The whole game now caters to a very small percentage. And even now they are getting sick of it. Let me rephrase many of them are getting sick of it. Bungie does not have the time or money or even the creative team they had when they made the vault of glass...or the other raids for that matter. What are you left with now? The moon with a new paint job. An infinite grind for armor to put together a raid set. Or a crucible set or whatever other activity tickles their fancy. But yes I agree old destiny was better. But it’s not changing any time soon
-
Most times after you've learned a raid you'd rather get a few quick run in your 2 or 3 hours you have to play and maybe a few strikes or crucible matches rather than spend all that time teaching 5 people 1 maybe 2 encounters.
-
Yeah I used to be big on the raids but it's because of this that I have stopped raiding almost all together. But it's like that with pvp too, So I've just adopted to mindset that if u can't get it solo, then I'm not getting it! Sad but....the destiny community isn't as open arms and nice as Deej likes to make everyone think.
