It's kind of funny that Bungie simplified (dumbed down) everything in D2 at launch because they assumed people were too stupid to enjoy complex gaming.
It nearly destroyed the franchise because dedicated Destiny players like complex systems.
And here you people are complaining in week 2, and by the complaints you register you show you don't understand the system at all.
This system is infinitely superior to the Y2 system. So what if it takes more than 2 weeks to get the shit you want?
The collective IQ of the posts on this forum don't speak well for the posters.

There is a difference between complex and tedious. The new system is tedious. It's not "hard" to figure out, you have to combat RNG and waste time. It's an artificial addition to the system and doesn't make it anymore "complex".

They simplified it because it turns out having options makes balancing difficult, and poor balance is bad for esports, and D2 was supposed to be esports focused. D1 wasn't anywhere near "complex." As for the current system being better I'd like to remind you that better doesn't mean good.

You couldn't be more wrong God rolls in previous armour can not be remade in shadow keep so armour 2.0 is not superior it's infact a lesser system than we already had with a ton of limitations added to it.

No they aren't we now have massive limitations into what we can build, where as before we could use any weapons we wanted now we can only build between a select 4/5 weapons per element an on top of that the seasonal artifact is dictating to us what weapons are viable for end game activities now.

Far from it. You’re not forced to use any weapon. In pvp there’s a little bit of an argument to which combination of perks is best but in pve it’s clearly armor 2.0. The addition of artifact, activity specific and new mods is far better and more freeing. If you think otherwise, you’re too simple minded.

How can u argue with me your told AR, SMG's Bows an HC are the only weapons that can remove the shield an stagger champion mobs that's dictating what weapons are viable in end game activities. Say someone wants to play Pulse rifle, fusion rifle an grenade launcher, guess what they can't cause they are all on 3 separate elements, but this system is better lol of course it is. Armour 2.0 isn't better as you old God rolls with whatever 5 mods u had in them before is in fact stronger than anything u can create now, 5 mods before shadow keep is equal to 100 any stat in shadow keep so it's really not better, it's nothing but limitations an I can tell you now this time next year this stupid system will be gone because it's trash an we will have our 4th armour change in as many years.

The artifact only offering staggering/shield breaking/faster reload for only certain guns (autos, HC’s) was a bad move and bungie should’ve allowed those perks available for all weapon types However, that doesn’t make armor 2.0 bad. What makes A2.0 better is the stats they can roll with, the amount of desired stat boost they can give, and the added ability to slot what perks you want to run in them. I was never a fan of the resilience recovery mobility we were stuck with before and the weak mods we could use with them - D1 armor was far superior but with set mods that couldn’t be changed. You could literally have a t12 armor set but be stuck with crappy mod rolls - A2.0 that’s not the case, once you get top tier rolls, you can upgrade and socket whatever mods you want to run in them. Very few mods are energy specific as far as desired mods go. Higher int, disc, str, res, rec, & mob are more often going to do more for you than improving your reload speed, handling, or stability at least from what I have seen so far 🤷🏼♂️ also haven’t noticed minor, major, & boss resistance as energy specific and they are a cheap mod to add like a little bonus after socketing what you want

All the mods you are talking about are not really mods to build with they are filler mods, for example you wanna play machine gun heavy an sniper energy you can't, cause one is locked behind arc the other is locked behind void, so you can only build to improve one of the weapons an then your forced to fill in the blanks with other weapons that fall in to that pool that's not allowing us to build how we want, that's bungie telling us how to build which is why armour 2.0 is a failure in its current state.

Because you can only wear void armor with other void armor and solar armor with other pieces of solar armor and it’s impossible to wear a void helmet, solar gloves, arc chest, solar legs, and void class item... oh wait, no it’s not 🙄 You can pick and choose what you wear and what you socket into it, just because you can’t have a chest piece sport 2 different mods that go to 2 completely different guns doesn’t mean it’s bad or worse than before. And sorry but increasing your survivability, speed, and lowering your super regen time outweighs a slight increase to your handling speed and aim assist or the ability to hold more ammo considering you are able to pair the ability to hold more dps ammo (heavy) with an ability mod. You can wear whatever element armor and use whatever weapons you want. Not sure what build you are so sad you can’t make but if you have what you believe to be superior armor from past seasons / year 1 then by all means wear that and enjoy the game “the way you want to play” 😉

An no you can't wear solar arc or void otherwise your build is trash, certain mods only roll on certain bits of gear like reload speed, ammo reserves, how much ammo you pick up, so no you can't mix an match because your build will be absolute trash which is why you need 3 full sets of max roll stats for arc, solar an void. You're talking about building for one gun like its a great update lol you could build for every gun with zero limitations so no this is not a good update it's actually another backward step for this game as per usual.

The previous system relied completely on rng and didn’t allow the freedom to choose whatever perks you wanted. This new system allows for much stronger builds(15 second super build) and much better synergy. If you can’t see that, you’re an idiot with a simple mind. There’s nothing from the old system that’s stronger in pve.

I have far more experience than you with endgame content and a much better understanding of said endgame. Only one person is required to have a barrier weapon. You can run whatever you want. The addition of these new enemy types is great and adds more variety. Sorry you’re not intelligent enough to adapt but in the endgame you’ll never and never have had the freedom to use whatever you want. Btw, you can kill champions without your weapons modded. I did. The raid twice this week without having barrier rounds for barrier champions. [b] [i] [/i][/b]
