[Subject:] GAR Inventory Check
[Priority:] Level 3
Mister President,
Good evening, Sir. I trust you are well, and ready for the changing of the guard with the election and all? I apologize for my somewhat...abrupt message, but it has occurred to me that we have not, as of yet, completed an inventory check of the GAR’s Arsenal. I will try to keep it brief, as I know you are very busy transitioning. The Manifesto is attached, which you may revise if you feel the need.
Your friend and faithful Captain,
Giant.
[INFANTRY:]
Attached is a description of our Training and Recruitment methods, to provide a foundation of our combat Philosophy.
Due to the Ethical and Logistical difficulties presented by a Clone Army, the GAR has decided to use recruiting for filling its ranks. To counteract this in place is a rigorous training regimen, with an emphasis on teamwork and selflessness while maintaining the ability to fight independently. Veterans of previous wars, including several Mandalorian Warriors who so graciously volunteered for this service, serve as combat advisors and trainers in the program.
Individuals can begin training at a comparatively young age (around 10) where the program will shift to essentially be like their regular School program albeit with a larger focus on skills that would aid in combat. Parents can also choose to begin the training of their child from birth, which, when the child is of age, he may choose to terminate his training if he so wishes, although with the financial benefits and other opportunities offered by the program, this should be a tough decision.
Individuals with disabilities are moved to Intelligence roles, or can opt for the Exo program (Free from its previous corruption) to exchange a human frame for one of metal.
Recruits are moved to roles that suit their skill set, with Recruits showing excellent leadership qualities being given Officer roles, recruits with good eyes being granted Sniper or Recon roles, and so forth. It is not a rigid boundary of what they can do, but merely exists to help guide soldiers to be their best self.
Equipment varies by division, with individuals being given a free choice of weaponry suited to their role.
Standard-Issue weapon’s for regular footsoldiers are the DC-15a Blaster rifle, and the armor of course being the superior Phase 2 variant, which can also be changed as is seen fit.
ARMOR
The GAR uses AT-TE’s as its main frontline assault vehicles. For agreeable terrain, Juggernaut Turbo Tanks are used to quickly overhelm the enemy with sheer speed, firepower, and armor. AT-RT’s and Speeder bikes are also used to thin ground forces.
For artillery, the GAR utilizes AV-7 Artillery gun’s, Modified to accommodate SPHAT cannons, or just Mass Driver cannons.
The GAR also has a work-in-progress Mech division, courtesy of the Peacekeeper Protocol. Details are yet to be disclosed to the public.
NAVY
For its main Flagship and carrier roles, the GAR uses a modified variant of the Venator-Class star destroyer, featuring a less exposed bridge, a higher turret count, and several experimental modifications such as SPHAT Cannons mounted on the lower hangar bays, ion cannons capable of rendering enemy ships dead in space, and minor interdiction fields disabling enemy Hyperdrive capabilities. In addition are the Nebula-Class Star Destroyers, serving as accompaniments to the larger Venators and can function on their own as well.
Starfighters include the Z-95 Headhunter, Mandalorian Fang Fighter, ARC-170 and Y-Wing bombers.
[Author’s Note. This document is incomplete as of yet, and is open to revision. Expiremental Prototypes are not included in this list]
And this is why we need the OCGR, if for no other reason than recordkeeping and and a centralized information source. I've got to kick my associate workers into gear.
