Given bungie's ties to the Chinese company NetEase, I am wondering where they stand on this topic.
Bungie puts themselves out there as a company that believes "everyone's voice matters". Would they back that up in this case or would they side with blizzard?
I would like to think that bungie wouldn't sink to blizzard's level of hypocrisy, where social issues are high priority...... up until it threatens to cost them a little communist cash.

Apparently, some Blizzard employees have staged a walkout because of the company's actions. Nice. Hopefully, they don't get fired as well.

As far as I understand it the interview was run by Blizzard meaning there are a set of rules to follow. In this case one about making political statements was broken by the one being interviewed along with the casters who were apparently pushing for the guy to say something. The guy could've said anything from the usual veganazi to Trump/Hillary comments and still would've been risking a ban. The fact that it was about Hong Kong is what has got people so outraged and not thinking straight. If the guy had made the same statement on something not run by Blizzard and had then got a ban, the hate would've made sense. However as it stands it looks it's a case of people get outraged over a guy breaking the rules.
