That’s exactly why it was implemented this way. So we don’t get that one OP build to rule them all. Division 1 had the same issue (didn’t play 2) one OP build even with all the variety in gear sets it didn’t matter. The need to make choices is necessary.
For the people saying “the content is easy” and doesn’t warrant such crafting haven’t tried high tier Nightfalls, the new dungeon and raid challenges.
Bungie should keep it this way for the full season see how it went and how we as a community adjusted then asses if they think changes should be made for the next. They came up with a good system and should see it through.
