It's annoying that we have to have specific elements (Void, Arc, Solar) for certain mods. Some Exotics have no place in certain builds now because of it.
Armor 2.0 was supposed to enable us to have more customization options but with the combo restrictions and the insane cost of materials (and especially glimmer) needed, creating a build just isn't fun. It's a chore.
Funnily enough, with the increased number of options and the ability to make very specific builds ( or at least attempt to), I've put less time into builds now than I ever have.
Some of the restrictions seem like they exist just for the sake of having restrictions.

Idk I'm having fun with it. The DLC hasn't been out for long enough for me to feel like I'm being held back by this system. Like yeah you can't instantly have your favourite loadout with scavanger perks and whatnot but why would you be expecting to in the endgame of min/maxing this early into the DLCs lifespan? All I want is a collections tab for mods so I can see what I have and don't have, so I know which armor pieces are more valuable to me.

Edited by SlushyApollo48: 10/8/2019 7:21:33 AMThe thing I miss the most is bungie said we could put 2 reload speed mods for the same weapon on the same armor piece then they changed it right before release
-
My biggest problem is having to do all this modding for some more trashcan looking armor. Wouldn't be neat that if ....as your armor was upgrading through modding, it visually got enhanced also ( not by Bungies artistic design of course or Tess wanting her cut ) ? Since Armor 2.0 is basically the meat and potatoes of this DLC.
-
I like the system, since I love min maxing my builds across mmorpg games that’s the fun of it all I’m already working on a raid set and have a PvP set drawn up on what I want mod wise for weapons

Like like Trump saying he’s going to build a wall.

It’s also funny how they buff scouts and side arms ect but then put restrictions on what you can equip over load and disrupt rounds on.

Old armor was better. Just put intellect discipline and strength on them and would have been perfect
-
I mean it should be obvious that Bungie doesn’t want you to feel overpowered in this game. Become Legend-ish....
-
What bugs me the most is it’s impossible too set up your armour the way you had it in forsaken. On boots you’re unable to run a mobility mod, enhanced shotgun dex, with a primary scavenger. It’s a limiter to make us less powerful. Also am I the only one that noticed I feel incredibly slow now?? I’m used to running 8-10 mobility but even now I feel like a dried slug and I’m paying the price (or rather my gameplay is paying it lol) something g just feels toned down. Maybe it scales as having max mobility in 2.0 was 10 mobility.... if that’s the case it’s physically impossible to run an 8+. -_- So much for creating your own unique build tailored to your play style...

I understand bungie wants to be “Different” but they should really go play warframe for a while to get a idea on how to make a proper mod system
-
No they better never do this .yeah and it has a limit
-
It's just added grind to keep ppl busy. Some ppl wanted layers.. welp Bungie responded with a firm "We hear you!" Now its just a bloated mess.

Yea, the new system is an improvement in general, but this aspect of it makes it feel a bit convoluted. There should be a way to change the affinity.
-
Or atleast let us change the armor elemental affinity for 500 glimmer. I think the worst part is it makes it difficult to keep track of what mods I have.
-
Was thinking the same thing. Strange design decision.
-
Hey guys EOutsider is either a Bungie employee or someone with all the intelligence of a speed bump, ignore him
-
The element restrictions is simply just too much. I'm just checking the stats that I need and leave it as that. Otherwise I'll just get stressed out and I'm not allowing a video game to do that to me.
-
I’m personally not at the stage that I can even consider doing builds. Isn’t that the mid-maxing end game stuff not something we should be looking at week 1?. I’ve been keeping amour that has 55+ overall stats and will have a play around with builds when I’m like almost 950. Is it a big issue? Doesn’t it just give us more to chase?
-
I already have gear that works. I'm not going crazy trying to have the perfect build because I'll end up driving myself nuts; the cost is too expensive and I barely have enough materials to masterwork one piece of amor... nevermind a full set. I blame everyone who said cores weren't a problem, they weren't -- but now the system is just convoluted.
-
It’s funny that this is sliding down the forums and will be out of sight before anyone at bungle appears on the forums again
-
Naw I don’t want people running around with enhanced sniper targeting enhanced hand cannon remote connection double scavs
-
I think the 'armor mods based on element' is really dumb. Since when did faster reload for my hand cannon require void light...? i don't even see a logical way to discover what belongs to where without just mindlessly checking everything... there's no rime or reason to it all. No theme to clearly relegate what element corresponds to what weapons.
-
Seems you still didn’t notice the 1500 enhancement cores needed only to go back to 1.0 gears. Hive armaments, barrier and the like are also 100000000000000x better than any artifact BS, at least out of the raid.

Armor 2.0 is a tedious chore. I’m going to keep using my forsaken armor in Y3
