It's annoying that we have to have specific elements (Void, Arc, Solar) for certain mods. Some Exotics have no place in certain builds now because of it.
Armor 2.0 was supposed to enable us to have more customization options but with the combo restrictions and the insane cost of materials (and especially glimmer) needed, creating a build just isn't fun. It's a chore.
Funnily enough, with the increased number of options and the ability to make very specific builds ( or at least attempt to), I've put less time into builds now than I ever have.
Some of the restrictions seem like they exist just for the sake of having restrictions.

Edited by Hazuki: 10/6/2019 5:19:10 PMYes, this needs to happen. Having resistance to a certain damage type in PvE is great. Being restricted in mods attributed to that element is not. Edit: Somone corrected me. There's no longer a PvE resistance to any element. Pardon me.

I see why this game is free now, I shot an enemy combatant on the tangled shore the other day and it almost killed him.
-
I prefer my old armor for sure. The only thing I like about the new armor is the ornaments.
-
Agreed. There was no need to remove the damage resistance from mw armor, especially seeing the costs now. The energy and stat system seems pretty good, but they could have left super regen as it was, including orbs when you consider the ~balance~ to crits. Having mods tied to energy type is more weaponized tedium, as we're used to. On another note, exotic armor was supposed to have random stat rolls from xur. Lo and behold, nezarec is the same from him as it is in collections. Amazing.

I’m fine with the restrictions in Armor 2.0 but I do have a problem with it being tied to exotics. Exotics are rare drops and should have all the mods for that archetype ( chest,helmet.etc). Also they gave us universal mods like rifle loader, precision aim etc so that’s their compromise. Just think exotics are exotics for a reason and the shouldn’t be tied to these restrictions
-
I think the elemental attunement thing was a great idea, but I think we should be able to equip mismatched elements at a greater cost. This way it's not quite as restrictive but still encourages matching elements to slot more mods
-
I can't believe how little people are playing or paying attention before complaining. Th he artifact has general mods that take little energy(enhanced loader mods, etc). The energy specific mods only exist to give you the same perk as the general mod but with less energy required because it matches an element. Literally a reason to play and improve. Every energy specific mod has a general version that just requires more energy. So how about you think? This game is for people who have critical thinking skills. They tried to dumb it down for you slow folk at launch and it tanked the game. This game isn't for you. You're too dense.

Is it just me or are people never satisfied, Changes were made deal with it some good some not so good Be constructive not just ranting about systems u don't like, I personally have not done anything to mod my gear yet, but that's because I'm looking for a specific look to my character idk what that look is yet but in the meanwhile I'm storing up my materials for when it comes time to mod i mean if u are already at max light then i get it but then i think only like 4 people are around 960 if anyone should be annoyed its them since they are well into end game and need to do those mods but around soft cap just play the game. I know exactly why the system is the way it is and i don't exactly like it but i get it, the grind to improve gears makes u continue playing if u can get the best armor and mods instantly how much content would there really be you'll be done with it in a matter of hours and bored then your new complaint would be how short the expansion is. I also saw someone say they are sorry for new players , Why its a new experience and they will be better equipt for the end game than we veterans because they are starting fresh and see the gripes of the Veterans and know to save their materials im jealous of them knowing what they are going to run into later vs us dealing wit hit now.
-
No. Git gud. This is a grindy game. It's not even hard to get
-
Interestingly, new armor system makes saving infusion for later harder too. So far I have had no problems due to stocked materials but soon most of us will hit a bottom, I'd reckon. With A1, you could wait to infuse but still get usable perks with armor. Now with A2, new armor with higher light comes with no perks. If you want to save infusion for later, you literally have to play good portion of of the game with perkless armor. All these drive the the game into a single grind for infusion materials, rather than the perfect build

-
Yeah, I don't really mind the current system though. The only bad things are the random elements and the price to masterwork.
-
Let us upgrade old gear into 2.0 rather than having to re-earn it. We already grinded our crap once, not a fan of doing it all again.
-
New armor system does suck
-
Yeah this is a terrible idea. Especially if you just started destiny you’re really screwed. At least if you have your old armor you can use some good perks. This system is not an improvement at all. The only benefit is mods being able to be reused. And they definitely need to make all armor ornaments. There’s just way to much rng. Once again we ask for something and they give it to us the crappiest most forced way. Yes we wanted intellect discipline and strength back but we don’t want random rolls on mobility armor recovery those should either be secondary mod slots or in the character tree like we had in d1. I don’t understand why bungie can never execute on player feedback.

It is annoying. However my Titans strength is 70 and Super 68 and when I get melee kills I get more super, and when I picl up orbs I get more melee. Its kinda fun to build like that.
-
You’re playing your way.
-
It’s why I’m going to get myself a full raid set from scourge that is one of each 3 elements and then 2 other of different elements
