The frost had begun to melt on the cold morning in Offtopic. City lights slowly turned off to welcome the sun to another day. The morning rush began, and thousands of people began their day. One such was Evelyn, Eater of Hope who had none herself.
Trudging down the street, she had no purpose. For so long her soul had felt this way that a purpose of pure malice had begun to feel enticing. All that she could remember was the horn of white and black. It was somewhere in the president's office, and she would find it. On her own time of course, as her black talons dug into the pavement.
The horn. Why the horn? It was magical. “I hate magic” she thought to herself. ”Magic stole my life from me. I shall steal everything magic in nature so no one else need suffer.” Like cruel fate, her optical sensors spotted something. A figure in robes denoting magic use was sitting at an outside table of a coffee shop. She hated him for that. But underneath, coiled at his feet was a fox. A magical fox.
Ember: familiar to Acrocanthus, Astral Lord. Cute and cuddly, Evelyn wanted him dead. She wanted to drain the magic from him. NOW. But how to do it…
ERROR. CANNOT OVERRIDE INNOCENT-EMPATHY IMPERATIVE. NON HOSTILE CANNOT BE TARGETED.
“Damn the programming! That CREATURE will DIE! ALL MAGICAL CREATURES WILL DIE. HE SHALL BE THE FIRST.”
Her eyes shifted from a pale white glow to one of deep, dark red. Spikes began to form all along her body as combat mode engaged. Cruel weapons of war began to form on her arms and back as the ALL OUT INITIATIVE was activated.
Acro was not oblivious to the monstrous, black mechanical entity that began to confront him. He stood up from his chair and walked to meet her. Gazing up into her eyes, he asked if there was a problem. Evelyn responded with a smile, “No, not anymore”.
The illusion faded, and she was gone. With a light chuckle, Acro turned around. His face turned pale as Ember was nowhere to be seen. Trying to connect, he felt a faint tug moving fast and far away.
Conjuring a portal, he steps out to a small square. The 5 fountains of Leisure square was usually quiet and clean. It was about to be anything but that.
On the other side of the fountain Evelyn’s 35 foot tall xenomorph form was holding Ember in her claws, separating the magical bond between the master and familiar. A bright green energy flowed in a sphere around Ember, weakening the magic inside him.
Sensing the disturbance, Evelyn handed the sphere with Ember inside to her back hands. She would fight for her kill.
This will be a public rp, but don't get upset if you suffer serious injury or are unable to fight due to the... capabilities of those involved. Thanks!
Ya know, I was going to apologize for not beong there to assist you, but now I'm not so inclined. Unhand that fox, and leave all magic be.
