Recently I was banned for my internet connection. I feel that’s it’s unjust because there isn’t much I can do about it. I unfortunately I do not have access to my router or router settings. I also feel like a ban is supposed to be used to teach someone a lesson to quit doing something wrong. Unfortunately after I get unbanned, I’m just gonna have the same connection I had that resulted in the ban. Is there anyway I can fix this so I don’t keep getting banned for something I can’t do anything about?

They sent you recommendations on how to fix it. Also consider: 1. Connecting directly to your router with Ethernet or Ethernet-over-powerline connections. Many old/cheap routers use wi-fi that is weak and laggy. 2. Get a router designed for online gaming. They have stronger, newer wi-fi protocols that less lag and less interference. They also prioritize gaming traffic if there are multiple-users. 3. Get an app that measures you network speeds. Ping time. Upload and download speed. Packet loss. Bad routing or throttling by your ISP can cause bad ping times. Bad cable in your home or to and from it can cause loss of data (packet loss) and poor connections. Thick of the system as a pipe carrying water. Ping time==the length of pipe. Up/down speeds== flow rate of the water. Packet loss == how much water is leaking from the pipes. If you’re experiencing packet loss you may need your isp to come find the bad cable and replace it.

I know how you feel, i got a warning because some salt shaker reported me after a match that their team probably won. Also got a message from someone saying "Get a better router try walmart instead of dollar tree" I got an ethernet cable and that made my lag a little better. Maybe try that if you haven't? Also maybe see about having whoever pays for your internet upgrading the package. What ISP do you have?

Bad internet impacts others, if you can’t fix it you shouldn’t play

Edited by Ingwe-Queen: 9/29/2019 9:33:18 AMHi, I am sorry to say if you have been banned then that is forever. If you, however, received a suspension then that is timed your first 2 weeks then 2 months then a ban. If as you say you are unable to sort or make any changes to your connection your only choice is to not play any PVP activities. If you are on a suspension and would like some advice on what can be done I know what you said about the router but it is a must that you sort this or you will be banned permanently. I am no expert on these matters but we do have some very tech-savvy people who are. To enable those people to help you troubleshoot could you provide information to the questions below Are you Console Desktop or Laptop? What are your up/down speeds? Latency? Ping? Jitter? Packet loss? Are you using a wired or wireless connection?
