I've gotten into Warframe, and I really how clans work and I wish destiny had something like it. I want to clarify: I am NOT one of those "hurr Durr Warframe better den destiny" losers that feel the need to enrich everyone with knowledge of how much better they think Warframe is. Warframe is great, but so is Destiny. I only bring up Warframe as an example of the changes I would like to see happen in Destiny clans. My brothers and I have run a Destiny clan for about 4 years now, and it's been a very rewarding experience creating a community with our own unique vision. We've made lots of friends along the way, and discovered great apps like discord to expand our group further. However, we often feel limited by the 100 member capacity, and wish it were possible to grow a bigger clan. Even 200. We tried starting a second division of our group, but besides sharing a single discord it operated as a separate clan. So Warframe got me thinking: what if bungie made bigger clans possible, but created a set of requirements that needed to be met in order to expand? Maybe a common group quest that each member contributed to in order to increase clan capacity? Having a common clan challenge would unify a clan, and give members something meaningful to do during content droughts. And besides that, what if clan alliances we're possible? In what ways might an alliance create opportunities for cooperation and community interaction? What do u think? How could clans be more meaningful and engaging? Share your thoughts below.
