Oh, you thought I meant losing the game or internet? Oh -blam!- no.
For those who live under a rock (or maybe just play Single-Player games, I don’t blame ya) DDOS-ing stands for “Designated Denial of Service” attacks. Those who do this will hack your IP address and overwhelm it, causing your whole internet to basically shit itself like my father at Taco Bell.
This sort of thing runs rampant in games, and is actually really bad on something like Rainbow Six Siege, where according it my brother like 8/10 people are getting DDOS-ed on PlayStation.
That’s bad.
However, I consider this a public service announcement if you do DDOS, and want to reconsider your ways.
My brother had told me today that DDOS-ing, according to the fine print, is technically a assault on a Companies servers. By doing this, you are liable to face heavy fines, and up to TEN (count em Dracula), TEN -blam!-IN YEARS IN PRISON.
Especially if someone like Ubisoft who really hates hackers and DDOS-ers often bans for, DDOS-ing can and WILL get you jailed.
So, don’t DDOS unless you want Big Joe to come to you in the shower and say “Make this lag out hacker boi.”
Doubt I’ll turn heads, but hey, at least I’ll try.
News Update: Ubisoft recently announced they would be taking legal action against DDoSers in Siege.
-
I've only ran into one back in D1 TOO That shit scared the absolute crap out of me.
-
I wouldn't even call them hackers; that gives them more credibility than they deserve. 90% of cheaters are script kiddies that don't have an inch of knowledge on coding.
-
DDOS-ing stands for “Denial of Service”
That's Distributed Denial of Service, a Denial of Service is a DoS. You sound like Sheila Jackson talking about the AR-15.
-
Can wait to see all those .6kd kids in champions league on rainbow get fined.
-
And this kids is why you use a VPN
-
Penalties are much more severe and action is likely to be taken sooner when the attack is directed on you as opposed to the company.
-
Do these hackers make their own programs that can DDOS people easily? Or do they use certain clients and activate that say during a match of a game or something.
-
Most routers have a feature to block or prevent that. It should be in the Router firewall settings. So far I haven't any problems. It's also good to unplug the power from both modem and router to clear the catche at least once a month. If you have been DDoS or DoS unplug it for 5-10 min. Most of these go through a service. And it will only last for a short while. If it's consistent. You may have to get a new IP from the service provider. So don't go replying to butthurt messages. Or go into their party.

“Ah ah ah. Von year. Two years. Thhhhhree year. Vout years. Vive year. Ahahaha. Zix year. Zeven years. Eight years. Nine years. Ten years! Ahahaha!”
-
I've never had it happen to me, but I know that it's pretty bad. Didn't know it was jailable though. Hopefully people will stop it if they find that out
-
Bump
did something happen Tiger?
Bump

*Insert VPN ad here*

Yep, siege right now is a shit show went from gold 1 to silver 1 because of this bullshit...
perhaps you could join the void...
DDOSing was a great game I love the game but it would have to get the game better way to get to the game to get to the end and get better and then you get the game and then get you a better way and get better and then you get the game.
-
Love it when you’re buying tickets to a show online and scalping bots are buying in such numbers that the page’s traffic limit is reached, essentially DoSing the site until tickets run out. I missed out on Queens of the Stone Age in 2017 because of this, and I wasn’t gonna pay a $1,100 markup so I was the big mad tbh.

Too bad nobody enforces it. That's why dos'ing is rampant. There is no consequence. Nobody does shit about it
-
1. Taco bell is underrated, the food is pretty cool and it never gives me crazy shits 2. I'm pretty sure those dudes don't give a shit 3. I'm pretty sure nobody reading this does a ddos (ddoes a dos?) 4. I'm pretty sure they won't end up facing real consequences most of the time 5. Taco bell really is pretty good
-
Thank you Tiger, very cool.
