You can’t say losing 90% of your community is healthy. And no average daily log in for forsaken was 900,000 at its peak. Maybe 1.4 million bought it. But I highly doubt 1.4 million bought shadow keep. You can’t cutting community down release after release. And new players? How they hardly marketed Shadowkeep. With activision gone they won’t get all they did for forsaken hell 35% of that was organic marketing impulse buys. Seen any Shadowkeep advertising? Used to be massive YouTube ad blocks. Massive POS at game stores target Walmart. Now ? See you and I already know destiny. Guy that lives next store to me wouldn’t know what shadow keep is. And if you read their respective online store reviews. It’s a horrid mess. So no. The future is not bright for this game. Enjoy the reskinned moon with how did they say? Oh ya near infinite grind. Sounds great enjoy
Yeah, if you’re not into the grind then it may just not be for you. They’re definitely targeting a more dedicated playerbase...it is a bold move, but Destiny will be fine. It’s doing fine, I actually think it’s in the best place it’s ever been, with the vision forwarded sounding very intriguing to me. Of course, if they miss the mark I won’t play as much, just like now I’m playing other games until it releases. But if they can actually capture the one progressive story moving forward I think that’ll be awesome. I now every here is bent outta shape about them removing a seasonal activity, but I like the idea of us actually defeating a threat for once.
