Great vidoc.... A few key words the forum folk need to pay attention to: Action MMO, stop calling this game a loot/shooter Game for the core players, they are making a game for those of us that want to play as often as possible Play with friends, it's a co-op game stop complaining that it's not solo friendly Evolving world, this one you should already know, your $3.34/month seasoal content is going to disappear More focus on Crucible, PvP is very much apart of Destiny get used to it Bedrock, this is the foundation which Destiny 2 is going to build on for the next 5 years I'm sure there are more but these jumped out because they're brought up around here so often Bungie has told you everything you need to know, but I'm sure some of you will be here complaining the hour after you load up Shadowkeep

They can say whatever they want. What matters is what they do. Only a true fool would listen to these people and take it at face value. They've always made things sound better than they actually are. Luke Smith in particular. With that said, it's downright pathetic that they're trying to say that it's now they're building Destiny "from it's heart" or whatever.. Destiny has been out for 5 years and their only clear passion lies with Eververse. Destiny must have a rotten heart. Don't miss this train wreck, guys! FOMO.

Great vidoc.... A few key words the forum folk need to pay attention to: Action MMO, stop calling this game a loot/shooter
No, this game is far from an MMO, its still a looter shooter and always will be.
Game for the core players, they are making a game for those of us that want to play as often as possible
The "core" players dont play like that, those that play like that are maybe in the 10s of thousands at most and the ONLY play destiny. Making a game based off of them is absolutely stupid
Play with friends, it's a co-op game stop complaining that it's not solo friendly
Thats the problem, if someone had friends to play with they would. But with how bungie has done this game since launch everyones clans have completelt stopped playing. Cant LFG because of the useless elitists that want their randos to be in the top 10 destiny players or the simple fact people wont send invites at all. Game needs to be solo friendlt because currently thas all its got to stand on.
Evolving world, this one you should already know, your $3.34/month seasoal content is going to disappear
The day bungie makes a truely evolving world is the day ill eat my underwear. Bungie couldnt even stop usimg the bicycle paths to get to between main areas on a map. They sure as hell dont know how to do an evolving world
More focus on Crucible, PvP is very much apart of Destiny get used to it
This would be fine, if bungie had any idea how to make a decent PvP. But after 5yrs its pretty clear they dont have any idea what theyre doing
Bedrock, this is the foundation which Destiny 2 is going to build on for the next 5 years
This game wont last 5yrs. It might not even make it to this time next year.
I'm sure there are more but these jumped out because they're brought up around here so often Bungie has told you everything you need to know, but I'm sure some of you will be here complaining the hour after you load up Shadowkeep
If ive learned ANYTHING about bungie is that they havent told you shit. What theyve told you was nothing more than a sales pitch, itll never come to pass once you give them your money.
• It’s a good post. Ppl don’t like the truth though. Regardless, I’m on record as having an opinion that content should never go away, until D3 drops, and then it should remain for those who want to continue in the D2 environment. That means, Bungie has effectively chosen to not want me, or ppl like me, in their game, someone who is approaching 6,000 hours in both iterations of DestinyTheGame. I have NO problem paying for content, it just shouldn’t be removed every few months. Are we in the last year of D2? Will there be a D3? Will there be a Destiny version on the new consoles next year? Will it be new, or just this same game pushed up to that console? Is Bungie Developing Destiny brand new content on the “black box” right now? Will it be for D3 or D2? Those types of questions make a difference to me. Bottom line, content that is so impermanent it barely lasts 90 days, is dead content before it is even released, to me. I’m not prepared to hop into an entirely new paradigm of subscription and evolving content when we don’t know a single thing about what comes a year down the road. Bungie knows, they have to know. They can’t be going from season to season, if that’s true, this game is in trouble. Big trouble.

  • Lmao subscriptions. Jesus -blam!- y'all need to go to work if this is breaking the bank and to be quite fair your bought more moronic things in life than content that will come and go. Lmao all content comes and goes in a game like this d1 is perfect example y1 weapons being useless after updates diablo 3 also had an auction house in the beginning that morons paid 100 of 1000s of dollars for just to have something new come out.

  • They are still available though. I still have my yr1 nameless and 3 yr1 sins of the past, one in each burn. I still use them. When it comes to foolish purchases, 100% agreed. Looking backwards it’s easy to Monday morning quarterback bad purchases. We all make mistakes. That being said, only a fool will knowingly part with his money in advance of what is to be a bad decision.

I still have my MTG cards from 1994, Ice age, Beta, Revised, 4th edition, lots of them. Having them removed from me, without my choice would be considered theft. Bungie can choose to remove content, it’s their game to develop and make rules as they see fit, I get that concept 100%. It’s just my very humble opinion, that anybody who values a dollar wouldn’t knowingly purchase something that is so quickly removed. A good example might be going to see a movie for $25, as it’s gone immediately. I completely understand that concept of thought. But me? I don’t rent movies, I don’t go to see them, I wait until they are available to purchase and then I own access to it forever. Or, until that access is removed, and in the rare case it is removed from my digital library, I immediately receive a refund in the exact amount of what I paid for it. We’re all different though. I’m just pointing out my view on things. Feel free to donate your hard earned monies to for profit companies all you would like, it’s just not my “cup of tea”, as Devrim would say. Edit: Grammar

  • A salesman saying what he thinks will sell. Regardless to what they actually delivered. MMO? No it’s still not that. Headed that way? Maybe? But I doubt it....to much work. They are lazy. It’s just that simple

  • Good rule of thumb: if a comment ends with the phrase "It's just that simple", then 110% of the time the comment is complete bs based on nothing but superstitious nonsense the poster got from some other moron who went through the same thing.

  • I'm a "core player" and I don't like this stuff. I launch Destiny 1 and I see how sh-itty D2 is. They're trying to bring even more of teams (no matchmaking for high end activities) , adding even more of circles jumping motes gathering shite everyone is fed up of. People asking for older raid to be re-made - B pretends it's deaf. So how the f*ck should I approve this scrap they are peddling?

  • Some key things you need to know: Destiny still a session shooter with great decorations. To be a real Action MMO this need, well, decade of development, I think. Your so-called "core players" are people who play ONLY Destiny. Day to day, year by year. And this...well, maybe 100-150k? And Luke himself stated there are not enough money from paid DLC and microtransactions to keep this game alive. And this is with at least million players with seasons and 2,5 millions with Forsaken. I already saw game is developed for "core" players. It's For Honor. And it's barely hit 5k stable online on steam. Good luck with this. So why not add actual matchmaking to everything? I mean, in-game. For example, I play Monster Hunter World right now. And when I can't beat a monster, I could ask for help in the start of the hunt and always find people there in the wild world. And this work on every kind of monster, no matter how difficult he is. Still Bungie spend months for another hand cannon and keep saying they made a co-op game. Huh. Do you play Destiny for a week? How could you don't understand that "evolving world" in Destiny terms mean "We will remove this loot and this activity to bring it back next year, reskined and presented like brand new"? I'm sure there are more fails for Destiny to come, but we will see.

  • A monster hunt and a Destiny Raid are completely different. There could be matchmaking for everything else. But matchmaking saw the Reckoning get nerfed twice because random teams had a low success rate and came here complaining.

  • You really think difficulty is a problem? I matchmade to Reckoning only when play my hunter in the end of Drifter season. And three times of five I started alone or with one random. Same for Forges and I can't even remember how many times I found myself alone in Blind Well. The problem of Bungie MM is this thing is broken and noone wanna fix this. And yes, I agree Raids are something you can't MM cause of it's mechanics. But Nightfall, Heroic Managerie etc. are absolutly fine with randoms. But for some reason there are no MM to this activity. Same as for Whisper, Zero Hour etc. I mean, you could beat ZH alone. So no matter what randoms you will get, you will be fine.

  • I agree that optional matchmaking should be a thing for all activities except the Raid. But Reckoning is an example on challenging content got nerfed because of matchmaking.
