"If we mess up, we're in full control now to fix it.."
As if you weren't ever? You're not fooling anyone Bungie, everybody knows you were always in control with your own game. Cant keep pretending that Activision was the reason why your game has been a monumental failure for years now. You can't keep using them as a scapegoat. People are catching on to your lies.

The season pass is also $35. If you buy shadowkeep first it’s $30. If you buy it with shadowkeep it’s $25. Not all the content is going away, only some. It’s not possible to continuously expand a game without limits. Only by eliminating old content can new content be added. Pretty much every MMO does this. Even if the content gets removed, I still get hundreds of hours out of it, plus whatever rewards I receive.
-
Edited by Astellan: 9/18/2019 2:25:20 AMFirst of all, MMOs don't remove old content. The only time you have time-sensitive content is for events within the expansion that generally have no rewards. In Legion, we had the Demon Lords quest which was only for the expansion. Once legion ended and BFA launched that quest ended and for good reason, a 120 would squash the quest due to being 10 levels higher and way better gear, even if in blues. Oh and that quest gave nothing but a weapon skin. Second, Season of the undying comes with the expansion. After that every other Season is 10 dollars. that means three expansions is 30 dollars. So 10 dollars you get temp content, while for 11.67 you get persistent content. You can fanboy for this as much as you like, it is a raw deal. You are a sucker.
-
You seem misinformed. When buying shadowkeep you are given the current season for free. Buy it in season 8 and you get season 8. Buy it in season 9 and you get season 9. Also yeah, a lot of mmos that are continuously supported on consoles have content removed. You’re complaining about literally nothing. That’s what happens when you look for stuff to complain about.
-
No, I am not misinformed, you are just trying to defend a terrible system. I do not care about buying access to content that goes away after I played it. Only an idiot would defend that system (notice you are the idiot) because I pay 34.99 and i have content I can keep playing. You pay 10 dollars for season 9 and when its done you will need to buy season 10 in order to have something new to do because after you pass runs out you are back to having as much content as a F2P player. Congrats, if PT Barnum was alive today he would be grinning wide at the sight of a sucker like you.
-
You really like complaining about nothing. You act like a kid.
-
Edited by Astellan: 9/18/2019 2:39:04 AMYou really like sucking off that D of Bungie's. You act like a stupid person because you are. Oh and thanks for conceding. Pay 10 dollars for temp content and act like you are getting more when paying 11.67 gave you persistent content. I wish we had an IRL pic of you so we could see how dumb you are.
-
You really like sucking off that D of Bungie's. You act like a stupid person because you are.
You failed to defend your point so you went to insults. Actually you tried insulting me from the get go. You just like like to whine. You have the mind of a child and you just proved that.
-
Edited by Astellan: 9/18/2019 3:15:09 AMYou made no point, in fact, you dismissed every point and would not engage the fact that for 11.67 you get persistent content and for 10 dollars you get temp content. Its not hard to understand. The Annual Pass content was sold as a 34.99 bundle while the new content is sold a la carte. See in sales companies that know their customers are idiots will do a la carte because they know people who are stupid will think they are paying less when they are actually just getting less. So, never made a point, you did everything to avoid every point I made, and then you come back with idiotic one-liners and think you are clever, Man, suckers like you deserve to be fleeced.
-
Well, your points dismiss themselves. They’re kinda stupid. You keep saying the content disappears but that’s not entirely true. You’re paying to access the season. The content will go away but it’s not permanent. If the content is well received they’ve said they’ll bring it back. I’d much rather have a connected story than 3 dlc that are unrelated. Go on and whine some more. Just makes you look more like an idiot.
-
Edited by Astellan: 9/18/2019 3:26:41 AMNo, my points do not dismiss themselves. You wish they could because you can't make an intelligent counterargument. The content will go away, Bungie has already stated the ONLY things that would come back are the rewards. REWARDS ARE NOT CONTENT. Content is the events, the activities you do, rewards are just that, Rewards for doing CONTENT. So, how stupid are you? How is it that Bungie can't make persistent content that all connect? What is their a LAW or something that says the annual passes cannot be interconnected? No? So you are just spewing BS here. The reality, you are paying 10 dollars for access to content vs paying 11.67 for content that is persistent. There is no argument you have here. An Extra $1.67 for content that will not be removed is a better value than paying 10 dollars for content that has a 3-month shelf life. Congrats for proving how stupid you are. I bet your that idiot that would pay 13 dollars to rent a movie when you could have just bought it for 14 dollars because that is the argument you are making, dumb dumb.
-
Edited by Bore: 9/18/2019 3:28:28 AMPlease, tell me, how are the stories of the annual pass connected? You can’t have the story affect the world if the world can’t change. Also, they said content could comeback and that weapons would come back.
-
No, Luke Smith has already stated that the content WON'T COME BACK. As he said, he believes the stories mean more if they are time-limited. So, no you pay for access, now you are trying to move goalposts. how can't the stories affect the world? We replay old missions of kill Ghaul. So should we remove all that? Let's remove raids to because how can the world change if we can still do leviathan. Or how about Strikes? How can the world change if I can do Inverted Spire whenever I want? Do you actually read you stupid posts or are you just that dumb?
-
Old missions don’t spawn in the middle of the world. Vex invasions are literally going to spawn in the world. Portal opens in the sky and vex come out. Thats how the activity is initiated. You can’t have the story progress past that while still having the invasions. Not to mention the strain all the content would add up to. We have another 2-3 years of d2. Continuously adding content would slow the game down significantly. Use your brain. Don’t buy it if you you don’t want it. You’ll end up buying it any way though, seeing how simple your mind is.
-
Edited by Astellan: 9/18/2019 3:50:06 AMFirst of all, no it wouldn't slow down the game. Lol, this game has less content than most MMO's Expansions. GW2 Launch game has more content than all of D2 with every expansion and DLC. You seem to be making the argument that we will have too much to do.. lol, this is a new low in fanboyism, the argument that players should have less content to do. Man, you are a dumbass. Second, I won't be buying Shadowkeep. You can keep saying I'll buy and you will be wrong. What's going to be great is seeing you waste 40 dollars on this game, and then in two years have nothing to show for it. I will resub to WoW or just play City of Heroes, one of my favorite games, before I waste a single dollar on a Bungie game. The more people like me the more chance of seeing this game go away and seeing people like you get butthurt because we did everything you advocated for. Don't like it then don't buy it! Great Idea. Tell more people to do that. :D

Most mmo games are low quality graphics and run on pc exclusively. Destiny 2 takes 10+ minutes to start up on consoles. If you’re leaving the game, why are you on the forums? I guess you are just a simpleton. Can’t really expect much from you.
-
Destiny takes 10 minutes to start up on consoles because consoles use HDDs. Sucks to be you, I do not care. Also, Lol, no the graphics in Destiny 2 is old hat compared to all the new titles. You would have to be a thick-headed dimwit if you think this game has better graphics than the current crop of games. What are you going to do about me being on the forums? Whine like the sissy you are. I bet you are a real coward IRL.
-
Name an mmo with better graphics than destiny. Destiny 2 has been getting slower and slower. More content means more loading.
Black Desert. https://www.blackdesertonline.com
Not even close to destiny...

Edited by Astellan: 9/18/2019 4:14:53 AMLol,wrong. That game has better visuals, the models have higher polygon counts, and the graphics engine has to process more variations than Destiny will ever have. You are locked to characters wearing the same armor with different colors in destiny. Black Desert you can make the character look like however you want. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-X8bEx3mrao Even the hair is better rendered than Bungie's poor attempt. You can deny it all you want but its graphics are better and you are at this point completely beaten.

Nope, all the stuff you are showing me is lower in visuals. In fact, the lighting in Destiny 2 is awful and the visuals are blurry. What should I expect from a console player, telling me that a blurry game that is in desperate need of a sharpening filter has better visuals than Black Desert? Lol, stop eating lead.

Edited by Astellan: 9/18/2019 4:29:11 AMSpoken like an idiot fanboy. Destiny 2 has the worst textures. The Lighting is awful. The game is blurry and anyone and their mom can tell that Black Desert has better graphics. At this stage, you are just reinforcing what a tard you are. D2 is a slightly better version of D1 in terms of graphics. That is it. And you are talking to a guy running this game at 1440p, 120fps, and all setting max. What are you running on? 30fps. Yeah, shut it. :D Hell, even if you hit 60fps, on the console the game looks like a choppy mess. Oh, and excuse me what resolution are you on? Oh, that is right.. 1080p. You do not know what good graphics are. I can only imagine the stuttering you endure due to the lack of variable refresh rate.
-
Aww, no argument so you are trying to move goal posts. Too funny! In debate class, that question would have been flagged as conceding the argument. How does that matter? The Stories of the Annual passes being separate or connected has no bearing in the conversation. The annual passes can be connected stories or separate. You are talking about pricing model of temp content vs persistent and then acting like Persistent content cannot be made with interconnected stories. That just shows you have zero idea what you are talking about. It's like arguing that a novel cannot be made into a graphic novel...That is a design decision of Bungie. How does making 10 dollar temp content somehow free up Bungie to make the stories interconnected? It doesn't. Thanks for asking a stupid question in some vain attempt to look smart.
